A Lady and Her Knight

The love story of Lady Aramina Redfern and her faithful knight Sir Jonn Cousland

It was a rainy day in the city of Northpoint. Sir Jonn was on his way to watch a tournament, seeking valiant prospects for his recently formed mercenary guild. He stood on the brinks of the arena, observing, as the swords clashed. A voice muttering words of contempt broke his immersion. He looked over his shoulder to see who was complaining about the contest and his eyes witnessed the most beautiful woman he had ever seen: a lady dressed in black, wearing a face of sorrow and soberness. He tried to make sense of what was said and realized she had lost someone dear not long ago and a funeral also took place. A feeling inside made him offer condolences and attempt to do his best to comfort this stranger.

It was done. Her husband, was buried. She didn’t know what she was supposed to do next…it was as if her life was over. As she walked back to her house, loud voices and clashing weapons intruded on her grief. She looked up and saw that someone was hosting a tournament near the pub, on today of all days! She walked past, muttering in anger and sorrow. Suddenly a voice intruded on her thoughts. She looked up angrily, and saw a tall blonde stranger. He was talking to her, offering his condolences. She didn’t know him, and really didn’t want his sympathy, but then realized he was asking her if he could escort her home, through the crowd of unruly men. After a moment, she accepted. She didn’t quite know why, perhaps it was his respectful manner. Or maybe his oh-so-blue eyes.

Sir Jonn was courteous and respectful of her grief. He offered his mercenary guild, the Westwind Claws, to guard her trading company. By chance, his guild headquarters was in the Westwind Lighthouse, a mere walk from the Northsalt Village where her trading company was based. She came to admire and like Sir Jonn, and in time found out his secret. He and his Claws were werewolves. Aramina could tell that Sir Jonn was developing feelings for her, but her grief over her husband was so great she could not move on. Unbeknownst to most, she took to drinking alone, and was rarely seen.





She finally realized that she had to do something to move on, and undertook a journey to Stros M'kai, to consult with a wise woman she had heard about. She spent several days there, wandering the desert and talking to the wise woman. Finally, her mind at peace, she decided to come home. Sir Jonn confessed his love for her, and took her to Auridon, where he proposed. She joyfully accepted, and before she was married she accepted Hircine's gift for herself. She married Sir Jonn at the beautiful Shrine of Mara in Auridon, then they returned home and had a joyful ceremony attended by his Pack. They then returned to Auridon for a wonderful honeymoon. They now lead the Westwind Claws as Pack Master and Pack Mother.

My boyfriend and I have played through the game together from the start. My 16 year-old step-son and I both play together and have been for several months now. We thought it a great idea for us to use the Ring of Mara to get the extra experience, but I refused to call it "getting married" for, hopefully, obvious reasons and instead called it "getting our accounts linked for experience bonuses." Of course, my son refused to call it anything but "getting married" and was telling his mom "We're going to get married!" repeatedly in order to tease me. It drove me nuts.

I'm still trying to get my wife to play.

So I hear this event was pretty heavily trolled. Knowing it would be was one of the main reasons I didn't bother to attend it. MAYBE you guys can now see how much that sucks and CONSIDER giving us the longed for visual ignore feature???

I think there were more people there who were behaving themselves and it was probably only 5 or 6 people who were without clothes or spamming skills or making their camels spit on me.

From what I have seen of the new zone it has a few nice quiet gardens and a really nice tavern. Some really good possible RP places.

I still would like some sort of all alliance, guild events and party island though. Could even be a Daedric realm? They said the coming year had a social focus. Let's really make it so then.

Greater shame about the event was that it was so short.
