Most players are far below the CP cap,
but many are closing in or above,
The new Thieves guild DLC will not raise the cap
The next increase is told to be 51 CP....

ZOS could give us something usefull for the excess CP

    Trust me, we know, thats why I think RNG/loot needs some tweaking. RNG should be optional and the alternative path costly, so player really needs to weight his options.

    could also made more general by introducing a "Luck" factor that increases as function of your excess CP.

    People who are at cap already did more dungeons than you.

    I personally did each vet dungeon 100+ times and would easily spend 25 CP for a Molag Kena Helmet.

    always think its funny when peole state they did every vet dungeon 100+. so there are 11 vet dungeons i beleave. which take a hour to complete so thats at least 1100 hours in dungeons. and that's when you clear those dungeons fast and without prep time to get a team. ye we all beleave you /sarcasm

    All undaunted pledge Bosses are killed in that Video, that keeps for elden hollow only 2 mini Bosses, which won't take 55mins to kill ;)

    With a solid group you can clear most dungeons in 15 minutes. If it takes you an hour to clear every dungeon, you need to find a better group.

    CP are not currency. There is enough currencies in the game. Just wait until you can buy them with AP /gold. That's only 5 weeks away.

    That 5 weeks is not the point...

    It is more a compensation / incentive for players staring at their CP above cap that is good for nothing.

    It's a bad idea. If zos did this then it would be the start of demands for cp trading and then people will just bypass content to get cp... making cp grinding the best way to get everything. No.
    Do I think that there should be a better way to get monster helps? Yes - a token system where I can trade in tokens from dungeon runs (laurels if they weren't so rare) for a monster helm of choice. And a recrafting mechanism where I can modify the trait of an existing item.. and even the type of armour? Yes please.
    But not using cps. There is already an incentive to grind cps to make all your chars better - adding another way to boost them from fps is not the way to go.

    If you really want something to spend cps on, then maybe they should auto convert to gold post cap. Then you won't worry so much about your excess.

    With the group I run with we do darkshade caverns in about 10-15 minutes

    I've said it in other posts, just make a group bind for the helms in dungeons. You can trade a helmet you get to anyone in your 4 man group. As soon as someone leaves or joins the group the item becomes bound to whoever is in possession of it at that moment. Group bind makes the most sense. So that you're still at the will of RNG but your chances are increased by 4x because there's a chance 1 of the 4 of you will get it and it can be traded amongst the group members. CP for helmets is a terrible idea IMO.

    Most of these dungeons do not take very long to complete even with PUGs. Just run them. You will get what you're looking for eventually.

    laurels? rare? I basically threw one stack of 200 away because I had too many blocking my bank.

    I think you might need to step up your game a bit if it takes you an hour to do one dungeon.

    Hmmm... generally I dislike any mechanics that make you pay in "experience", but... as an purely -optional- way... for those who just want a shortcut to RNG-farming... I can't really bring myself to dislike this one...

    well at least you are putting effort into those helmets a different way. token system would work beter though. just my thought. or every time you kill the boss you get a piece of the helmet which you can ensamble into a whole helmet with x pieces with a random trait. still makes you run the dungeon alot but it feels like you are gettig closer to your goal and not feeling like a run is totally useless when you just want the helmet
