They said there are multiple costumes you can earn with the thieves guild... And the first one looks very similar to that so I wouldn't hold my breath but it could be and that would be awesome

The danger isn't the people that they carry weapons for its the dangers involving everything else than people. Like a troll bashing through a wall of a home could it happen? Yes! Is it a person? No.

Because of the occasional tussle with the guards. You may be a good thief, but it is a dumb thief who does not take such simple precautions. Also, because of the mask over the face kinda thing too.

Looks pretty heavy for Thief armor, oh damn, we were talking about Outlaw Armor. Maybe they should have some armors with Scarfs, I get it we dont get capes but how about Scarfs.

The reason thieves guild members have armor and weapons is the same reason street racers have neon under lights, spinners, and various multi-thousand dollar stylish upgrades.

Reasons:
1. Style
2. The ladies
3. Your reputation, Trade mark, or recognizable image

In short you wanna show off that your doing well. a thief in rags doesn't look like he's doing very well, and thus isn't going to get the contract. A stealthy ninja mofo on the other hand will probly get any contract he wants. it's all about the image, and toting around 80lbs of heavy armor says ur not stealthy, wearing rags says ur a terrible theif that can't get the item you want nor feed and cloth themselves, and someone wearing premium soft leather ninja gear packing expensive daggers and a wicked looking bow puts your opinion in all the right places.

And if your a wicked rich theif, why not look bad ass? Might as well throw some cash down on the threads your wearing 24/7

I think they ended up redoing the Thieve's Guild style armor, and turned it into what we see in the top pic, but we'll find out for sure soon!

They made a new Thieves Guild style set.
The old style shown at QuakeCon 2014 and in trailers at the B2P announcement is now the Outlaw crafting style.
