well I wouldn't say 50k a year would be set financially but definitely will help depending on the situation and if the person is smart enough to keep working and bank what they can of the 50k for 20 yrs and invest that and live off the investment. But not all will think like this :3

Not really. They are going to get taxed at a high rate on that 50k. Also, 50k/year gross pay is not much in the American economy unless you lived in a very rural area.

Cant be a 13yr old or anyone under 17. Because they are violating the age limits of the game.

oh yea im sure no thirteen year old would do that ;)

come on we all did it, its not really a big deal. That limit was just put in place so the media couldnt blame it on school shootings and what not. Mind you they still do

It will be taxed at the current income tax at that bracket for the 50K, which after taxes is roughly $41,728.75.

That leaves $3,477 after tax income per month. Looks like a nice mortgage and a new BMW to me.

Say a 13yr old did win. You really think they will give it to him. Most likely not, they will make up some excuse do to his age. C'mon this is Zos we are talking about. They are known for screwing people over.

haha exactly. I do all my investing off my personal income, so this would just be another bucket to tackle the daily life expenses. The good thing is it is after tax though, so all you have to worry about is LT and ST capital gains. But to all of the non-finance savvy people "50k a year is nothing" lol

I always say it will definitely help haha but wouldn't build a life based on it id keep my income use that to invest(either invest it all or half) and then after 20 years can retire with 500k-1mil in my investments and maybe retire maybe.. but prob work and keep investing till I don't wna work anymore

I'm confused. I get that the drawing is today ("The date of the drawing is scheduled for Monday, February 1, 2016") and whoever wins will be notified by email or mail. Here is what I don't get:
    5. PRIZE CLAIM CONDITIONS
Sponsor will attempt to notify each selected entrant via email within approximately forty-eight (48) hours of the Draw Date at the email account provided by the entrant in his or her The Elder Scrolls ® Online account if that was the means of entry or provided on the Mail-In Entry form if that was the means of entry.
How will I know if I’ve won?
Each selected winner will be notified by email at the address provided on the entry form on or about February 22, 2016. Make sure to check your email inbox around the notification period. See the Official Rules for more details.

So are the winners notified within 48 hours of February 1st or "on or about" February 22nd?

EDIT: @ZOS_GinaBruno Not sure who to ask for clarification on this :?

Depends on where you live. And unless you only live for 20 years, you need some sort of plan for after the 20 years are up. Also with inflation 20 years from now 50k might not be enough to live off of.

If I look at my fathers income from when he was young until he retired, his income went up 10 fold, but still maintained the same living due to inflation.

30-40 years from now, 50k a year would be like making 5k a year now.
