Hey,

can someone explain me how usefull Encase and Rune Prison in PVP are? Heal you both Skills (Blood Magic Passive)?
And give them CC immunity to the enemy?

    Encase is used frequently since roots don't give any CC immunity when broken/cleansed. It also has an AoE effect.

    Rune prison less so, since the CC breaks on damage and if broken it gives CC immunity. For CC you want it so that if your opponent runs out of stamina they can't break free and can actually take some damage before it wears off.

    Encase is great against melee builds since it is a root, hits many players, does not give or react to regular CC immunity and as a result can be spammed. Prison good for 1V1 but that almost never happens plus it gives immunity so I would try something else. and yes both proc blood magic

    The prison morph defensive rune is apparently good for pvp. I just leveled up the skill but don't have any skill points to spend so don't know how it works.

    Encase is expensive and buggy, but effective when it work. Defensive rune is a nice anti gank mechanism, rune prison is mostly useless unless your foe has no stam to break free in which case DoT them to death.

    Encase is a very narrow cone/cylinder. It's narrower than the graphic, and that makes it more difficult to use. It also aims a bit funny. I think it aims where your character is facing, rather than where the camera is facing (like streak, but I have not tested it in a while)... Making it even more difficult to use

    It is directed where your character is facing, but it's hardly a bug. It wouldn't be potentially avoidable if you could not know what direction it was coming from (there would be no benefit for the other guy to remain to the side/behind you.)

    That being said, although sometimes it doesn't 'take' on the first try, it generally has more success than failure and can be quite useful in keeping some distance or preventing the other guy from doing so.

    Morph to the one with extended time / slow vs damage, as the damage is not much.

    An interesting side note for Encase is that you will get healed twice: Once when it sets, and once when it releases.

    Your group members will also get a +Crit bonus if you have the passives, even if the enemy is immune.

    I never said it was bugged.

    Attacks that go where the character is facing are very difficult to use if you are used to strafing and camera planning while fighting. It's not just encase that does this, but it adds to the issues with using it. The ultra narrow area of effect is the bigger problem. Test the width on a pack of mobs. It's quite small

    Encase is bugged. The cone is significantly smaller than the graphic (which is either a visual or area of effect bug) and it does not always hit on the first use. The direction issue may or may not be a bug depending on your point of view.
    However generally speaking its the best cc we have.
    Also the damage morph isn't worth it as the damage does not take effect if the cc is broken free from.
