Grouping Tool: Being forced to port

Monk_Slayer
While the grouping tool now works, and does a decent job for the most part, being forced to port when you join a group needs to be fixed. At a minimum, it should be an option. For those that aren't sure what I'm referring to, here goes. So, you turn on group tool, look for a random dungeon, then the tool finds you a group, then you are given the option to wait 60 seconds, immediately port, or, get this.... Hide said option... WTF?? So, there's no option at all to delay it, cancel it, etc, except to leave the group. Good luck in finding another group. Sometimes it takes quite a while to find another group.

Everyone that I have talked to in these groups, DOES NOT LIKE being forced to port. Please, ZOS, this should be a simple fix. Let us finish deconning our stuffs, repair our gear, empty pockets etc. Sure, some of you will likely say, "Do that before you start the group tool!" Well, how many times have you forgotten to repair your gear before joining a group?

The only thing about porting that should be fixed is that it still works even if people leave the group. So then you're stuck in the dungeon with nothing to do while it searches for replacements. In those cases the port should cancel itself, and the timer should restart once the group has 4 members again.

Imagine how the other group members, who are already in the dungeon and just want to get it done after their 5-10 min wait will think of you stalling it too. You can finish clearing your inventory after, wasting others time more is just selfish.

Problem also is you have to port/drop before 4 players are even grouped up. Stop counting roles instead of players

Please don't focus on ONE thing that I've said. There are MANY reasons to make this optional. As a healer, I don't want anyone in my group who isn't at optimal strength. While emptying bags and repairing armor doesn't take long, it does take a bit longer than the 60 seconds. Waiting an extra two or three minutes isn't above a reasonable request. Even when grouped normally.

I also only really forget to repair my armour when I just did a dungeon without dying much/at all. If I kept dying at each trash pack then the sting will be so fresh in my mind that I'll repair even before I start the search for the next pug.

Another reason why I just don't pug stuff. It's awful.

Would it work if they extended the timer to, for example, 3 minutes, to give more time to finish getting ready? The timer exists because, as others have said, people don't want to be waiting around forever. If there was no timer, three people could be waiting for the fourth for ages to finish doing whatever it was they were doing.

Why not deconstruct stuff, visit banks, vendors or whatever else you're obligated to do, before opening group finder (There, I said it). Buy repair kits & carry them with you.
One item which could become a crown store money maker, bank access. Buy a trinket alloying bank access from anywhere in game. Oh, mobile vendors too.

Two or three minutes would be a lot better than one. As it is, if you suddenly realise you forgot to pick up the Pledges, you might not be able to get to the Undaunted Enclave before you are forcibly warped into the dungeon.

And then you have to make your teammates wait even longer.
