What is there in terms of solo endgame content?

So I had got this on the console launch but other games kind of stole me away. I got to 38 on a sorc and that was it.

I came back a couple weeks ago though and have been having a blast, just finished my last alliance zone and got my covenant hero title.

I realize I still have a long ways to go before I'm vr16 but I got to wondering, what is there to do solo at max level?

I keep hearing about maelstrom arena? Or was it dragonstar arena? And that's solo?
Is it just for fun or does it actually drop useful gear?

Maelstrom Arena is the only Solo Trail there is and hopefully will be. You get the best in Slot weapons for your Sorc.
This is a MMO, further endgame pve will most likely be group oriented.

Maelstrom is what you're hearing about, and it's part of the Orsinium DLC. Everything in that DLC is great for solo questing except for the very powerful world bosses where you just get a random group in zone together and swarm them

The arena drops some unique sets, and the final chest on Vet and the weekly leaderboard rewards drop Maelstrom weapons which have unique enchants that can be seen here: esoacademy.com/orsinium-item-sets/

Right I get that, I was just kind of curious.

I plan on doing mainly pvp tbh, but I thought it was kind of neat that there was a solo end game arena thing that wasn't useless, and was curious to get some more insight on it.

Also I'm not playing my sorc I actually started a new character which I already got back to my sorcs level and even surpassed it.

For Most classes and speccs, Maelstrom Weapons are the best. So your new Char is likely going to benefit. There is a new dlc with new Sets in the horizon but i doubt there will be better weapons available.
