How is BW campaign? PC NA

Hi, I'm getting sick and tired of the lag in vet campaigns. Azura is unplayable due to the lag and fps drop at the times that I can play and Heradus is not close behind.

For those of you that play in BW, how is the campaign in terms of lag and population ? I don't want to lvl an alt if it's not worth it.

Bwb is great!
In prime time, all alliances are 3 bars most of the time and 1-2 get poplocked (usually ad and dc)
In the weekends all alliances are poplocked.
There is absolutely no such thing as lag even during pop locked.

The only annoying thing is playing horse simulator.

You won't be as strong as you are in v16, even relative to the enemies you're facing, but it's true that there's no lag.

I never thought I would roll another character or play in nonvet, but I made a stamina alt recently and am having a ton of fun! I was relevant in large fights and winning 1v1s handily even at lvl 10 right when I came in...

Also, fire ballistae are your best friends in nonvet since people have fewer heals and purges.

BwB is amazing. I prefer it ovr vet campaigns. There is minimal lag, large scale PvP happens, and every is pretty competitive in there. Give it a try, you'd like it. (:

One of mine still qualifies for BWB, I've enjoyed it for what it's worth. I do get some lag in prime time when it's pop-locked (envious of you people who don't!), but as I'm in Australia I'm mostly off-peak and it's been pretty good. I know people who prefer it to vet campaigns, so always have a non-vet alt so they can keep playing in it. It's pretty competitive too!

not-vet PvP is superior to vet PvP in every way, shape, and form, yet here I am in Azura's star.... such a hypocrite I am:D

anyway, BwB is a very good campaign, give it a go, see what you think

People really look at BWB through rose-colored glasses. It has lag. It has zergs. It has players using the latest exploits. 90% of the players there rolled magicka NB and detect pots at those levels are a joke.

Sure, it can be fun, but don't go there expecting it to be sunshine and kittens.

I've played BwB fairly often for the past few campaigns (many before that as well, even emping there once), participated in huge keep fights, and the lag has never, ever reached the extent of the Vet campaigns. For the most part we are able to put down siege, defend keeps, and both large and small groups are effective in that campaign. It's a good campaign for those reasons alone. Sure, you're always going to have players using exploits, that's the nature of this game in particular since no punishment arises from it.

I've seen more Stam DKs than NBs in BwB tho.There's A LOT of wrecking blow in BwB.

The detect pots for level 30 WITH Alchemy passives last 8.6 seconds, so I DO agree that they are more than not completely useless >_< (wtb mark morph q.q)

Overall, though, I'd say BwB is a pretty healthy campaign. This game will always have zergs, but at least with less people you stand a chance against them.

Leveling new alts in BWB is by far the most fun I've ever had in this game. Create new alt, grind to level 15-20 or so, then spend the next 30-35 levels in BWB, rinse and repeat. My Magicka NB is starting to get pretty close to vet ranks, then it's time to move on to Magicka DK. Should be fun! (The other nice thing about this is since I'm over the 160 CP mark, once they remove vet ranks all those characters I stop playing once they outlevel BWB will become max level!)

BWB used to be more fun before so many 501CP vets started coming just to exploit the most broken mechanics possible bringing with them the blobspam zergball mentality and tactics that caused all of us to leave vet servers to begin with.

It was a lot more fun before they turned our fun server, where people used to actually play the map (and it's objectives), into their vet guilds personal AP farming zone.

Know that these high CP toons that get emperor are NOT the "most feared" or even respected by the denizens of blackwater blade.


We all just can't wait till CP is disabled for blackwater and the Vets with the tricked out cheese builds go back to the lagfest that they helped create by promoting blobspam gameplay and abusing broken game mechanics.

Believe it or not, I think about 70% of my CP was from just doing PvP daily. I earned about 18 million AP after CP system came out (From abusing mechanics and lagging out the servers of course ) which equates do a decent amount of xp. The last remaining points from getting the v16 gear when IC came out.
