Not sure if this has been ever talked about... But was wondering what everyone's thought is about(which will probably never happen) ESO adding a new class i.e. necromancer or druid??

They said they are looking into it soon bur the docus is on class balance first, I expect to see infor in the next 4 -6 months .. The classes I believe would be necromancer ( conjunction, poison and bone) and mage ( uses frost , bound and illusion) just my thoughts. Be prepared to see alot of people say necro will be lore breaking even though the 5 companies had 2 necromancer in..

I've been thinking since some days ago about clases and all that stuff and I've come to a conclusion: I don't like the system how tha game has been implemented. I don't feel it as a TES game.

Nevertheless that could be changed in some way: what about getting rid of classes?

My idea is quite simple: Pick up to 4 (5 if you are WW or vamp) skill trees from any class, weapon, guild. Then choose only what you are going to use.

Of course, a lot of people woul look for resource regen passives, but the skills in those lines should be put to work. And most of the current playters will go straight to cloak, but in the same way, a lot of people will pick up AOE dmg.

It will be intersenting foir devs too, since those unused trees will be a nice hint on what is not properly working in the game...


Well, but this is ZOs and I doubt they consider the sole idea

They have trouble fixing/balancing/maintaining the 4 classes that do exist. I don't think we need to spread them anymore thinner.

I see the usual posts about fix current classes, they are working on it and it will be visible in a few weeks. Ofc it will never be 100% as its pvp. As to the original post , they will add more classes as 4 ain't enough for an mmo. Ppl are so negative and most arnt constructive on this forum.

They are not going to add more classes as this isn't your run of the mill mmo. And I like your constructive post. It is very informative.

Instead of looking at class balance, maybe work on getting the classes to work off each other more harmoniously. This is a mmo, not a single player game. Oh wait, it is according to zos own words, a single player experience with mmo capabilities.

Eso is an mmo. there is no such thing as balanced classes. never have been never will be. Balance is based a lot on perception, and perception differs from person to person. It is even harder in a war based mmo like eso is. in cyrrodl your class will be put into so many situations that are not optimized for your build.

Best ZOS can realistically push for is 80% balance. The 80/20 rule. I think they are within that range.

However, pseudo balance can be achieved by having each class be able to do a role within 80-90% of each other. Healing, dps, tanking.

Right, ill return to ESO when they have fixed the exisiting classes.

Which should take, oh 4-5 years, maybe 2-3 years if they manage to get rid of people with dyscalculia (math dyslexia)
