Can we have it so if the player is attempting to use fossilize on anything that is stunned we could still do the magic damage instead of it consuming our resource for nothing in return? I mean this should be a no brainer unfortunately I play on console and lack a timer that would tell me when a CC affect is completely over or if any other CCs are on the enemy I am facing so this would be perfect.

Lastly I've been strongly talking about this in the past and I want to talk about this again supposedly @Wrobel You look at these forum posts and supposedly you actively reply to them at-least some of them but I have yet to see any popular or not so popular forum with your remarks but let me get back on topic.

Can we get flames of oblivion back the way it use to be i.e AoE damage/DoT? It was a perfect ability for running dungeons and a fantastic ability for 1vX and sniffing out opponets. Not to mention for those of you who don't know using ardent flame abilities against enemies also slows them (DK Passive) so this ability would be fantastic in replacing caltrops (a extremely costly ability). Seriously consider this I miss this ability and it's pathetic that it is literally a mage light re-skin, talk about lack of creativity right there.

    I'd love to see Flames of Oblivion back to its old pbaoe. The one thing I don't like about the skill though was that it was a toggle. I hate toggles. I wish all skills were a clicky. If that meant the cloak would only last X # of seconds I'm fine with that. The same holds true with bound armor, sorc pets, inner light, you name it. I really don't see how toggles are good game design given the 5+R build of the game.

    Yeah that's one thing I definitely hate is toggled abilities I wish they'd make it just that a single click and I get to decide if I want to turn it off.

    it was so great :) give it back to dk's. i barly use it right know. if i want to increase crit i go with evil hunter morphs. and on magicka inner light.. just another crippled dk skill here

    I would love to have my flames of oblivion back as it helped when fighting mobs and more than 1 person. I'd charge into them and lay on the DPS while they're taking damage/DoT damage from being near me.

    I used Fossilize after Talons as part of my CC utlity in Cryodiil, however. One thing that drove me crazy is when spell effects stop showing (relogging fixes it), I can't tell if a player is immune. The other problem I've been running into is broken immunity. I can cast Fossilize on a player that was just stunned and it fails (ok, no problem, working as intended), but just yesterday, I ran into a DK in Cryodiil that was able to use it on me back to back. Drove me nuts. I generally don't have an issue going 1v1 with a DK, but that made it impossible.

    Even if they bring back the old inferno nobody will use it in pvp cause it stops magicka recovery while it is active.

    That's a assumption but ok, as a stam DK I'll use it for burst and if I'm fighting a NB who's cloaked rather than wasting 5.7k stamina each time they decide to cloak out of my AoE.

    Yeah I get that but I'd like if the magic damage to still occur when using it against an opponent so it's not like "Oh wow I just wasted resources" it's now becomes "I may have wasted resources but it still does a bit of damage".

    100% agree with you. With the amount of CC being dished out in GroupVsGroup scenarios, it almost makes it worthless to even bother with.

    FIre Magelight, I mean, Flames of oblivion/inferno cannot be justified in any way to be used at this time.

    Its basicly Magelight. Magelight has some drawbacks that inferno havnt got but it all change when we talk morphs.
    Now. Why would you use magelight or inferno in the first place? Critbuff + extra benefit!
    If you are seeking out a critbuff I assume its for DPS or some for of doing extra damage.
    Both inferno and magelight can help you with that. But whos best.
    Magelight got Inner light to remove the penalty magelight usually gives. But the sheer boost in magicka Inner light gives
    are just too good for inferno to compete. Your base damage on your spells get increased so much for the extra magicka you can outdamage the fireballs small damage easy. The passives of the mages guild allso gives out acces to recovery and more magicka along with it. Inferno can allso give magicka back but its unreliable and not very effective.

    In my testing my DPS went up from switching to Inner light from inferno even with Molten whip AND Burning embers slottet to boost the damageoutput of the little fireball.

    Dont replace it please. Just make it match Inner light for a DPS standpoint. I hate the glow on my face from innerlight so much I really REALLY wanna use inferno. I just cant justify it for endgame use.

    Flames of oblivion is meant for stamina users but I'm assuming you mean sea of flames which is meant for magicka users?

    You do get stamina back but as a stamina user that waste of magicka resources is extremely bad. I for one have 10.2k magicka pool un buffed so when I use fossilize I calculate for what I need next and estimate how fast my magicka pool will recover (yes everyone that has a above average cognitive can do it).

    I still want the magicka damage which in pvp since 50% reduction to all damage is around 990 damage anyway so it's not like it's a lot in the stamina sense. I doubt any magicka DK is going to waste resources spamming fossilize (a high magicka consumption skill) to gain resource back when he/she has igenous at their dispose.
