Champion points and that funny Enlightened thing

So champion points, yeah. What governs how fast you get them? And do you get them from everything you do or just certain things?

How does enlightenment speed up the process. And why for that matter?

Not that I'm complaining: After four years of yoga, I can't express how happy it makes me to log onto ESO and see:

"YOU ARE ENLIGHTENED."

Yeah, I am. :)

If you get Experience, you get Champ Point Progression.

You just get it 4 times faster while enlightened. And if you dont' have around 420 or so, you also get champ point at an accelerated rate (like 30K cps for the first point vs 400K cps for the 421rst or there abouts)
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    - Champion points come from anything that gives you XP.
    - Champion points are earned faster the less you have of them.
    - When enlightened, you earn champion points 4 times faster.
    - Enlightened means you spent a good amount of time NOT playing the game.

All of the above is basically a "catch up" mechanic that lets players that don't play as much (or are new to the game) catch up (well, to some extend anyways) with players that have a lot of time to spend in-game.

Without all this, the gap between the ones that play a lot and those trying to catch up would never shrink ...

Seriously though, it builds up over 12 days and caps out. At that point you can basically earn your first 12 points really fast.

Sorry to necro this thread, but it wasn't answered. When does one stop being enlightened? I am curious for this as I study and go to school a LOT.

You are enlightened for a whole champion point.

If at the start of a red one, it wears out ar the start of a green one. If a quarter through, it runs out a quarter into the next. Halfway to halfway etc

On the PC I can float my mouse on top of the Champ Point bar and it will tell me if my enlightenment goes to the next point or not. But it does not tell me beyond that until I earn the next point, then I know if the next point is all enlightened or some part of it is.

As for predicting how long you will be Enlightened after not playing for a while, your guess is as good as mine. I think the max you can "que up" is 12, but I know most of mine is less than that. However, once you earn the points your going to earn while enlightened, then the period ends.

Not correct, it was like that when all champion points required the same amount of xp. You get 100.000 xp(so 400.000 xp to champion points) of enlightment each day, you stop being enlightened when you have gained those 100.000 xp + whatever you have saved up from previous days.

    I hope this made sense.
