@Volkodav does that mean I can install it, make a few level vr16 characters with my gear and armor of choice, and test it out wherever I please? This would really help me pick where I want to go in the game with what class

Yes, excluding certain armor sets, rolling a template character on PTS and dueling with a friend is perhaps the best way to test various builds, or at least get an idea of what you want to do with the class before you start leveling.
As I explained to the OP,but for the exclusion bit.Excluding which sets? When I made my V16 char they all were in my inventory. It took me quite a while to figure out which ones to keep and use.

During the period when our NA accounts are cloned, you get all the same sets you have on live, and if you are a master crafter you can craft anything you can make on live. However, some new sets can be challenging to obtain or require farming dungeons, etc.
During the period when you are using template characters, it's not possible to test most crafted sets because you don't have any traits researched. If you have a friend from EU server with cloned account, however, they may be able to craft sets for you during this time.
Are yo usaying that if someone in the EU server can send armor to someone on the PTS? How's that possible.Or perhaps I am misreading what you mean.
Cloning,..is that legal? Please dont take mw wrong,I am not being snarky or rude.Truly wanting to know how to do this.

OK there are two phases to PTS, and keep in mind both NA and EU players have access simultaneously.
During first phase, NA accounts are cloned, this means PTS characters, guilds, banks, etc. are identical to what you have on live server. Also during this period, EU accounts can only use templates.
During second phase, EU accounts are cloned while NA accounts must use templates.
Ok,..it's almost confusing. XD I wonder why it is like that.Having two phases. It doesnt make a lot of sense. To me,I mean.

I believe it was explained that this was the only way they were able to add the feature to clone the accounts from live server. For example what if someone on EU server has a character name identical to a character on NA server, etc. They have to alternate between NA and EU.
Yes.That's it exactly! You can test everything to find out which you like best. You can make either 8 V16 chars,or just a few, then use the others to play a regular game with whatever the devs add to test out on the public. It's great!

also note that the PTS is for testing of the new content to help improve the game and reduce bugs... the main idea here ist for you to test out which class your build you wanna play.. but i guess it can be a nice side effect for you.. just remember to provide feedback to the devs so they can improve the game before going live
@Stranglehands Create a VR16 template, travel to your alliance capital (I think it may even spawn you there?), then take the cart.Stranglehands wrote: »What's the quickest way to get into craglorn on the pts these days? It used to start you off in there so you could go straight out to test your experimental build on the wasps and/or group dungeons
