So, I want to jump back in on a Sorcerer!

Hey guys, as the title says I want to get interested in the game again and I aim to do this with the help of a sorcerer! Come by morn I will mess around and creating something and I would love to hear what you guys think I should do.

Like, A Khajiit sorcerer even though you should pick Breton or Altmer..and should I go Destro + Dual wield..or 2h and a shield?

I just want some ideas that will make me say "Yes! Now that is something I will have fun doing outside my NB!" I dont have a preference at this point. I just want some fun and good Sorcerer builds that you can level and use in pvp/pve!

Khajiit would be fun but apparently the race passive for crit damage increase is broken. Maybe they will fix with next big patch. Depends a bit what your focus will be as to what people will suggest also. Like pvp or pve main focus?

I use 1h 1sheild on my Ep dark elf sourc to tank silver pledges and would like to try the defensive stance for reflecting once I get it leveled. It's a lot of fun to mix it up and not just play the same roll and gear all the time. Most of the time you probably want to go duel weild and destro staff for maximum dps. There is a fun crit build with kajitt race that has 108% crit rating and specializes in high overload damage on tamerial foundry forums called critty kat so you may want to check that out.

Well that does sound interesting. I usually just go with what is best because you know..minimaxing. Would be refreshing to just go something like a khajiit mage cause you can :P

If I go like that I might as well go Destro + Dual Wield, giving me the fun of playing the standard mage and melee. Then its just deciding between Light and medium and magicka/stamina..

Oh, I rather focus on pve to be honest but would want to be decent enough in pvp as well. I can always change around to fit one of them at the time depending on my mood.

Well...

Khajiit Magicka Sorcerer would be about the worst combo from a min/maxing point of view.

But, if thats what you'd have fun doing then you can make it work. Its just that your racial passives will be useless for your build.

2h and a shield?
I'll just assume you mean 2h on one bar and one hand on the other.

Really, you can do a lot of different things as a magicka sorcerer(which I assume from your "I should pick breton or altmer"). 2 destruction staffs, destruction+resto, destro+dual wield, resto+dual wield, 1h&S+resto, 1h&s+dual wield, 1h&s+destro. I personally would go destro+resto while leveling to make sure the resto is leveled and destro+dual wield after a while. And maybe switch out dual wield for 1h+s when fighting something magical.

As a stamina sorcerer, probably just two handed+dual wield. Or a bow in there somewhere.

Any stam weapon works with a stamina sorcerer, but 2h has the best synergy. I would suggest a stamina sorcerer if you like melee play and speed. They are high mobility and fun in pve, but a lot of work in PVP.

Are you thinking of going stam or magicka? Khajiit magicka would be terrible over Altmer and Orc would probably be better for stam.

I would wait with your go on sorc idea... they just broke sorc ultimate (the strongest and main source of dps for sorc) with last patch...
