Cyrodiil When ESO Was Released On Console...

I present a video of some old recorded clips I had on my PS4, from around the time ESO was released on consoles. PvP was so much more fun back then, although it can still be fun (depending on the situation/campaign) and I am sure it was even more fun on the PC too, for a lot of people.

It's always interesting to look back at our noob days, when everybody was kinda in the same boat and we were all having fun, getting lost, shouting and just being naive etc.

This has to be the longest scroll run ever, by the way.

Those were the days, although a lot of players still follow the one with the scroll in hopes that they die, for them to pick it up

I can still have fun but I know what you mean.

When it came to PvP like on a large scale, yeah.. and even on PC at around Beta time when there was no lag... even if it's because of the amount of players who hadn't progressed their characters so much to unlock all the set bonuses, spell effects, passives and gear which put more weight on the servers, including a few patches and lighting changes (I still suspect it's to do with those too) etc.

I have to say though, as much as I miss these times, I even miss PvP in general but I haven't tried Cyrodiil in this recent patch to see if the lag's calmed down or not.

I can remember EP on Azuras struggled with the idea of repairing Keeps for close to a month after release. It was pathetic. They couldnt understand why the Keeps kept falling back into the hands of the enemy so easily. And it was because EP would roll through. Knock a wall down and take the Keep. Instead of leaving a group behind to rebuild the Keep walls everyone would pile out into the courtyard and run right out the damn hole they made and roll on to the next Keep.

EP might have superior numbers. But the vast majority of them are idiots that wouldnt know what to do if there wasnt some guy yelling 'Want to join a group?' at every Keep.

and @CrowsDescend Ive actually been having great games of PvP recently, Just not in Azura's during prime time....

Hahaha I remember that. (Or were you talking about PC? because we never repaired on PS4 Azura's either!) We used to just run away and not repair a thing it was the whole momentum thing, like... "ARE YOU READY GUYS! NEXT KEEP!" shouting in area chat with hilarious commands, so I guess that's the main reason why because if we said "Repair the walls!" I guess a lot of players in the zerg would have, but yeah... we were naive & hyped up. haha

Good times. I have a clip of my Templar in a Light robe with a bow, trying to kill an Emperor then raging "WHY U NO DIE!!"

I think I'll give Azura's a go tomorrow and see how things are. My last experience was bad, this was before the recent patch though. I went into Alessia Keep, lagged like crazy, 2 sec delays on my heals then I got insta killed.

Haha, sure i didn't have a clue what i as doing either.

Azura's can still be good. But at certain times of the day it is, straight up, unplayable. Luckily, the other campaigns are seeing a lot more action because of it.

Hahah EP are still like that on BWB. DC are dominant there at the moment but previously when EP had superior numbers, they were like a wild bunch of raiders! Sometimes I would turn up at a Keep under siege & there would be 3 different EP PUGs all sieging different walls! Then all 3 groups would get in... knock down the front door as well as both postern walls & then all pour out whichever hole is closest to go attack the next target :P

I would yell in chat "OI! WHO'S GONNA CLEAN UP THIS MESS!?" & get some distant LOLs as they all ride off like cowboys.

Fun times

I still have great fun on both BWB & Azuras. Some nights it sucks coz of lag or faction domination... but mostly there is lots of fun to be had

I miss the old days on Xbox too. The fights were good and there was none of this "stealthing away as soon as getting hit even by a healer when you are supposedly one of the best players and emperor/former emperor". I see this all the time now and it's pathetic. All I say to those is grow a pair.

I respect for skill players even spamming nightblades but running when you get love tapped is poor form

Indeed... I enjoy staying around to fight to the death, although I'm a Templar.. I can't exactly run away lol
