Can't see my friend, or add him to friends list. "Account not found"

Hello.

A friend of mine recently bought the game, he installed it the other day, and we want to play together. I am in EU server, EP, and he is also in EU server, EP, sure of it, we are both in the same server, checked so many times.

He created a character, got to Davon's Watch. When he told me I tried to add him as friends, I was in Cyrodiil, so I couldn't see him yet for obvious reasons. I tried to do it, by both his ID and his character name, none have weird characters, but I got the same error: "Account not found.". I tried to invite him to group, and again, "Account not found." He can't add other friends either, it seems. He couldn't add me by ID, by character name. I tried to send him a mail, nothing either. Aswell I tried to whisper him, nothing.

We tried to see each other in Davon's Watch, in one of the ships, and he wasn't there for me, and I wasn't there for him, I thought: "Well, maybe its phasing, because Stonefalls is always full of people.", so I told him to find me in Inner Sea Armature. And nothing either. We couldn't see each other in there.

Sent a ticket to ZOS yesterday, no answer yet.

Anyone knows what's going on?

Strange that You cannot see him, but when adding to friends You must put "@" before name of his account. E.g. @Noob

Aye, I put the @ just before the name when I tried with the ID.

Ok, I just solved it. For if anyone has this problem:

Tell your friend (or you, if you're the one who can't add people), to repair the client in the launcher. They will loose everything, but at least works.

This could be due to a similar issue which I myself have had.
With the disk version of ESO when you select EU it in fact installed NA with EU folder.
Because of this when you repair it switches to the EU server for real.
