Since I started playing ESO forever ago, I have wanted a house, and finally I have been given that carrot to look forward to sometime this year. My joy knows no bounds! I'm so excited in fact, that I have never posted on the forum until now. This is my inaugural forum post and it's all because of HOUSING!
Now, the idea of housing being implemented raises many new questions which I am certain will be answered by ZOS as we get closer to housing implementation (where? how big? customizable? etc). And I am content to wait for those little details. But from these questions, I have developed a concern that I hope ZOS makes note of: Will I be alone? Will my spouse not be able to cross my threshold? Will my war buddies and fellow adventurers not know what a great host I could be? I make a mean sweetroll, but I do not want to eat it in solitude at my lonely table.
Short version: will my house be a solo instance?
I hope ZOS is considering player relationships and how housing will impact those relationships. I'd like the ability to invite other players into my home. And if there is a house inventory (much like the guild bank), I hope I can set specific permissions of which other players can share in the inventory (e.g. my spouse).
Since we do not yet know what form "housing" will take, this post is under the assumption of personal residence as opposed to having a guild hall. A guild hall would obviously allow for other players to be in the same instance, but if the housing is a personal residence, then I hope ZOS gives us the ability to open up our homes to other players as we choose.
