Avoiding AD?

So I've noticed that in the early EST AM hours (4am - 8am) on a daily basis, DC actively avoids fighting AD past Aleswell; pushing past Aleswell and constantly into EP and just actively avoiding anything south of Aleswell. Is DC afraid of directly confronting AD players? DC hardly even pushes into resources owned by AD on EP keeps.

Fights always seem to be cleaner and more enjoyable when fighting EP, both sides seem more or less evenly matched. As an Australian player I can say that around that time fighting EP is probably the best PvPing everyday

EP = Hive mind. Low skill levels by and large but can amass massive amounts of skyrim kidos to run around in rampaging bands and left unchecked they will turn the map red.

AD: Min maxers faction because they have the best racial sets in the game by default. Your less likly to run into rampaging bands of them, but should u push them back far enough you'll get the wrath of their elites and gank squads will be on the prowl hunting down respawners. seriously... like 60% of this group is NB's...if not more. Left unchecked...AD will not gather major raids and will instead succumb to their elitist nature and split off into small groups of gank squads and go AP or telvar stone farm. rarly when left alone will AD actually activly start taking keeps. ( my friend literally has a screen shot from one of his AD toons of 15 nightblades standing around in stealth around 1 guy sieging a keep. )

If you where DC, who would u go after?

If I were GM of either of my PvP guilds I would only push AD. Not because I'm former EP, but because I came to DC for the challenge. If you enjoy making AP off of inexperienced player's who have yet to learn how to PvP over an experienced well seasoned enemy, then shame on you and the faction. I will not participate in farming pugs and the inexperienced.

Its because of the stupid map and uts layout most will go in a straight line unless objective based guild. If no guild groups up dc will always go right ep will always go left.

So you're reinforcing my point that DC players are afraid of AD and thus prefer to attack EP. Works for me. And speaking of hive-mind, isn't that why most DC players think Chalman is one of their home keeps? lol

It is odd to me that many who rerolled DC for the challenge would rather pick on the obviously weaker faction than go after the challenge they were looking for.

Most of those players that rerolled to DC are baddies, but alas, EP cannot hold against both factions at once all the time when they have the same pop as each of the other factions.

DC players always contract a condition, since the start of the game, that makes them color blind so that yellow and blue look the same, thus they only see red and always push in the direction of EP. That's the conclusion I've come to because I can't think of any rational reason other than most DC players being stupid, but that can't be true right? ;-)

This is just some random screenshot I decided to take one day this month....whether or not there truly is a green alliance or if DC is really avoiding AD, whatever the case, nobody can deny that EP on Azura's Star gets it way worse then the other two factions even though we've been in 3rd place the entire campaign. Almost every time I log into Azura all we have is Arrius...or less.

LMAO at the suggestion of 2 Raids of AD stacked during the Oceanic timezone.

There are normally a max of two organised AD groups in Aus/NZ evening time.... Nocturnal (4-10 man) & M12 (8-Full).... there are exactly two times when we have been "stacked" together and not moved away from one another in the last month.. one was at bleakers when both groups totalled 16-20 peeps farmed 40+ and a final emp keep a couple of weeks ago.

Do I sometimes run a full raid in Oceanis time? - when I can, absolutely!

Do we have the numerical advantage 90% of the time? - No, anyone who has seen the 40 strong rabble of disorganised DC milling around outside Nickle for hours on end knows what I'm saying.

The population is actually fairly balanced in Azura's during Oceanic Primetime, the difference is in organisation. EP & DC only have an large organised presence 2-3 nights a week, the rest of the time it's smaller groups and the almighty pug zerg which is unfortunate.

I've been noticing this lately. It might be a good idea for ZoS to lower the population caps down to 3 bar level... Very little lag. People wouldn't like being forced to spread out between campaigns away from friends, but it would certainly improve PvP performance.

    Oceanic time is great.

Unfortunately for the last 4 days my ping has been too unstable to play even in Oceanic time (lets not mention NA prime which I feel is unplayable). 400-1600 ping is not enjoyable.

Van's group going DC has added a bit better balance to the timeslot with less overall map domination from AD.

Yeah effecting a few people in our guild, but not others. Pretty odd.

Battle ping connects to Texas with a ping of about 210. In game 330-999+ and ping increases when fighting starts, but can be small scale. DC when 40+ people in close proximity.

Was fine last week. Seems ok in pve, some lag spikes.

Oceanics needed a nerf, 300 ping handicap was not enough.
