How To Get Unstuck Twice In An Hour?!

So this is becoming increasingly annoying... You'd think there would be checks in place to prevent such things...

What exactly?

If it isn't already clear, I have managed to get stuck underneath an object. This isn't the first time either. How? Did I go around trying to get stuck till I succeeded? Hardly! Simply swam and was trying to get to the stairs when I got hit by a mob and once the effect wore off, I was stuck... What makes it worse is the fact that you can't /stuck twice in an hour, so basically ZOS is telling me "LOL, cheers, GFYS" while I am locked out for an hour...

And no, TP to player does not work when you're stuck "falling" or in combat.

SERIOUSLY?! Can any of you emphasize with how annoying this might be? ESPECIALLY when you have limited time to play, and this buggy oversight of an excuse ZOS has happens...

And before anyone recommends "play an alt" sorry, that is not what I do. I am happily advancing in the storyline, I had planned to dust off a few quests tonight...

You'd think if the system sees you trying to jump hundreds of times without success or managing to get out, that it could at least teleport you a short distance away to a "safe" area. I can't begin to describe how many times this has happened, and how much gold I have lost due to it...

Any of you ever been to the Spindleclutch dungeon? Next time you're there, get behind the spider and the huge door behind her, and eventually get yourself ulti'd behind it, not being able to do a single thing but wait till the fight is over to TP out...

TL;DR: Is there anything else I can do next time this happens?

    Hah, had no idea there was a limit on typing /stuck. When did that happen? Is that to stop people abusing it in IC??

    Has always been there I think? At least in 1.6 it was as well.

    And yeah, I know the trouble. Getting stuck in keepwalls way too often lately :neutral:
    Porting into another campaign is my only way of getting out again usually.

    Does this work when stuck falling/in-combat? As THIS is the major issue here. Otherwise I could just teleport to another player (costs nothing).

    Some checks should happen, especially if it is an NPC you are stuck in combat with, NOT in a PvP zone... That way there is nothing to lose as you should genuinely be stuck if you use this option.

    As far as I can recall, it has been like this for about 3+ months. At least that is when I first had to start using it.

    Yea, putting a timer on the /stuck command in a game like this is possibly one of the most stupid design decisions I've seen.

    If your processor or graphics card is not up to par you'll often get stuck in the things as they spawn after/on top of you.

    If you often have to wait for landscape items to show up this may be your issue.

    I hope this isn't the case.

    Also limiting it not to work in combat is somewhat bull especially since if you are stuck because of WB you are stuck in combat. what the hell is going to happen, you are standing still while the stuck command is moving you. if anything just make it so you can't use it if you are sneaking while in combat but not just if you are in combat period. Also if you are in combat it should override the once per hour restriction.

    I have an 8GB AMD R9 390x, doubt that is the case...

    It isn't about it not loading. You try get too close to any scaffolding of any kind and somehow it sucks you in and you have no way to get out from under it... I avoid ALL scaffolding like the plague now, LOL!

    It is times like this where I wish we had a /duel option so you can at least try to fight (or just end up dying) so you can easily respawn at the nearest wayshrine... Though, being a duel I doubt you'd have that option...

    I hope this gets a proper look at though, as it is no fun to be locked out once this happens twice within an hour (and it is quite possible especially in the scaffold clad zones such as docks, etc). Not to mention the ridiculous fact of having to pay gold for a game bug... I get some people could use it to abuse the system, but surely there can be some measures in place?

    I remember games like WoW and the like had an infinite option in place, and you could even call a GM to assist you. Here you're more likely to wait longer for GM intervention by which time your 1 hour "ban" on playing would be up.

    Huh, I thought the one-hour cooldown was only in Cyrodiil. I thought "the point" of it charging you gold to get unstuck was because you could use it indefinitely if needed.

    Log out/in?

    edit: I know it will tell you you can't log out while moving, but you can still close the game and then come back in. The game should force your character to reload.

    Open the map and TP to a shrine maybe? It has worked for me before.

    This particular place I have gotten stuck in before and others like it.

    It usually happens when you do something like jump into water so you momentarily submerge and your forward momentum carries you under something like a dock that you can't get out from under. It's very frustrating.

    Is your character texting while mounted?
