Pvp...pay for?
Hi all. Im new to the forums, but been playing eso on and off for a while now. (Xbox).
I've only ever been through the solo campaign, got a character up to level 25 and deleted it by mistake. Dont ask, still a bit tender. Anyhow, been wondering about pvp. I was looking on my map and it said I needed eso plus to be able to travel to cyrodil. Is this right? Do I need to pay extra to be able to do any pvp content?
I tried searching the forums for an answer, but the search function isn't the best.

old_mufasa✭✭✭✭That's Imperial City you were looking at that you need the DLC for.. and IC is in the middle of Cyrodil.1

✭✭✭✭✭Nope, it's free. You only have to pay for Imperial City DLC which is found inside Cyrodiil.0 -

I thought it was strange that id need to pay again.
Kinda related then, how 'busy' is the pvp zone that isn't any of the dlc's? Is it worth me venturing there or have most people gone onto the dlc's? (Bethesdas plan to make cyrodil the secret fallout 5?)0 -

The Imperial City DLC is dead. Barely any one goes there except a few to farm the stones you get there. Cyrodiil itself is still very lively, and during peak times you may even have to queue to get in.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I level new characters up to level 20 or so all the time just to play PvP. It's a fun way to take advantage of battle scaling to test out new builds. Sorry you lost a character but you can easily replace him if you read up on the latest grind spot and you can level it quickly. Just getting all the skyshards/domens/world bosses in the first zone should get you to 12 or so.
Make sure you pick "blackwater Blade" as your pvp campaign as that one is designed for non-vet characters. Enjoy!0 -

✭Everything above this appears to be true and accurate. I would simply add that the non-vet cyrodiil campaign (blackwater) is incredibly active. Even a great deal of long-time players create new characters exclusively to play in the non-vet campaigns.2 -
Thanks all. My level 25 character I deleted in error thinking that I was deleting another one. Kind of a good thing though, cause I didn't realise that putting character points in stamina increased skill damage... so had a character with loads of health but no damage output. My highest level character now is level 13..2 handed orc.
I may just head to the pvp zone tomorrow then...0 -

No matter what you do, don't get frustrated when other players beat you. It's a learning experience, and one day you will whoop them back.1 -

Very true.
I just started playing back down in non-vet with a couple of dusty old alts in their 20s, super fun. Hoping for the non-vet-non-CP server to become a reality, at least to test out on PTS… THAT will be interesting.
