Help - maxed out crafting skills but no max writs

Hi all,

I have just respected my alt so that he has all his craftings maxed out (Blacksmith, Provisioning, Woodworking). However I only get level V1 writs (calcinium and birch stuff for example).

Is it because I couldn't bring myself to grind him to V1 (the poor guy is lvl48)? Any other reasons? (every skill is maxed out)

    That's my guess indeed...But before going to a boring grind with a character who has now most of his skill points in crafting I hope I'll get some confirmation from the community :)

    Yes that is correct, you have apparently opened Coldharbor for the Writ V, but until you are actually V1 and can access Craglorn, that is the highest Writs you will receive.

    You can set the level of writ received by any character by choosing how many Skill Points to put into the material passives for each craft, but still must be able to physically reach the Writ Board for Writ VI.

    Likely I had enough skill points left for him to be a decent tank in AD and it will be relatively easy to find groups for daily pledges
