Sadly, at some point the GMs raided my screenshot folder and deleted the evidence that proved that they exist. It is a conspiracy.

Seriously, I had a screenshot from a time I saw them in Vulkhel Guard, but I cannot find it... for some reason... curious.

Zenimax employees do not play the game as gamemasters, they play the game in normal accounts so nobody knows who they are.

The logged in GameMasters are mostly useless and only appear in some very special cases, like when hunting bots... and that's why they are not seen anymore. Bots are gone.
Help in the game comes from Customer Support, where you can leave a message and they will see it as soon as possibe instead of it probably being lost in the flood of "fun" and "quirky" messages that an in-game GM would receive as soon as he appears.

As far as I know they don't have the Z symbol at all in-game, at least I've never seen it.

But I remember GMs sitting in cyro watching PvP. And youd see whole hoards of players chasing them around trying to kill them. But of course, they couldnt be hit. XD

That was probably the last time a GM stepped foot in PvP.

Ah, that brings me back to the bad old days when every delve boss had his spawn point permanently camped by as many as 12-20 templar bots who would instantly jab it to death the second it spawned. For an actual human player to manage to tag the boss and get completion/loot was usually a matter of hanging around for several spawns and hoping with each spawn that you could attack fast enough for it to connect before the boss died.

I used to gather the human players, and then pull the boss with my DK chain.

Once upon a time, a group of GMs held a race in Davon's Watch. Then, afterwards, myself and another Dunmer friend of mine scolded our Argonian slave in front of them and they laughed merrily with us.

Sorry it's taken me a while to find these pictures. They were on my old computer which I don't use for ESO any more.

On 22nd July 2014, Gamemasters Capensis, Kathar, Degyn, Moon, Huqdite and Frostfall came to Vulkhel Guard and held a party on the beach from about 2 am to 2.40 am GMT+1. I think there were actually 8 GMs in total but those are the only ones named on my terrible screenshots.







They answered one question per player and I wasted mine on "Why are some of you level 50 and the rest v12?", as if that was important.

iirc, they'd come from Velyn Harbor and then went off to Daggerfall. As I didn't have a DC character at the time, I couldn't follow them.

I miss some of the... hmm... innocence? Community spirit? that was present when the game first launched. I certainly miss the status messages that GMs would post to let you know they were in a zone bot-hunting or bug-fixing.

When I'm playing I like to think that the GMs are there somewhere in the clouds above us, looking down on us while answering tickets.
Like gods watching their herd.
Or cats watching a fly on the wall.

no screenshots, but there was once this event on PTS where devs joined to introduce changes, was when the guar mount was first introduced, and Gina was on her EP charecter,. slapping the poor guar ass silly

once got helped in cold harbor during prime hours to get pushed through a quest marker (where you be a monkey)

no screenshots with my claims tho.

Gamemasters are beings of light and legend.

Once, when the world was young, they were numerous and powerful. But then the world aged, and it no longer needed their services and, thus, the GMs faded into myth and legend, becoming nothing more than subjects of tall tales woven around blazing campfires in the wilderness during the blackest of nights.

Some say they returned to the Celestials. Others say Aetherius. Yet others say they still dwell among us, garbed such as to be indistinguishable from an ordinary person.

The only entity who likely knows where the mythical GMs are nowadays is Mai'q. Yes, that Mai'q. And we all know he speaks in riddles, anyway, and is himself difficult to locate.

The GMs are out there. Somewhere.

Come over to the dark side. Consoles are pretty active at all times of the day. Ive rarely ran into an Anchor that wasnt swarmed with players within a moment of it appearing. And I cant remember the last time I was in a Delve or Public Dungeon by myself.

Really?? Because all the dolmens I beat in silver and gold were because I was able to solo them. Are you on XB1 or PS4?
