So I have heard from a good source that a crafter will have an infinite amount of inventory space under two conditions...

One, it is only materials
Two, check this out,

YOU MUST BE ESO+ MEMBER TO HAVE ACCESS TO IT.

Idk about you guys but I think its ***..any thoughts

Yup. If you are subbed, that's a pretty clear sign of dedication and willingness to stay with the game long term. A bonus inventory complements this perfectly.

It seems the responses to this thread are fairly predictable. Anyone with a sub will be in favor. Anyone without a sub will not be happy, though there may be a few of the latter who realize this is a smart incentive from Zeni to encourage more subs.

I've been sub from day one. I've waffled over dropping it many times. I have enough crowns to buy all of the current and much future DLC, and thought I might drop my sub when it ends. The crafter bag will be a reason to continue.

I'm not keen on the idea of it being sub only but it may get me to sub so i can see why ZOS might like it

It's not anything needed. I have all crafts maxed, and no you don't need this at all. It's not even close to pay to win, but it is a pretty substantial reason to keep your sub going, which really there's no other reason to.

I have been a subscriber since launch. Almost all of my entire maxed inventory space is filled with crafting mats. An unlimited inventory space for materials would be a godsend! Maybe then I would have room to actually start collecting armor/weapon sets.

While we're at it- I think every player should get a separate inventory space for dungeon trophies, perhaps moving them to the collections tab would be nice! There are not THAT many, but if you have played through all the dungeon content and quests, this would free up some much needed space for everyone and would not be game-breaking in any way.

Please be true. As a self-proclaimed (and completely unashamed) hoarder, bouncing mail of a friend with prov mats just for more storage is a pain... Lol, I even have a dead guild slotted with 500 more spaces.
Btw, i'm curious how others have their bank set up- I have a stack each of all prov mat, bs, ww, cloth, rune, and alch in my main, so I can craft anything I need without having to stop at the bank first. Doing this now though, makes it difficult to store all the "bound" gear im rapidly acquiring and wanting to keep.

Or,have a use option for EVERY trophy, not just some of them.So this way,you can get that trophy registered in the achievements, and not have them clutter up your bags.

I am a Master Crafter (for all levels not just end game) and I have all the bag space I need at the moment.

Bottom Line, you don't need Crafting Bags to be a Master Crafter in this game. You can get the storage you need with the game as is. This just allows me to collect stuff like Trophies and Unique items rather than decon or destroy them.

Its not that bad a deal, more space doesn't help you play better so ESO members won't have an unfair advantage.
Plus the ESO membership doesn't offer a huge amount of perks, so something simple (and helpful) like this would maybe draw in more subscribers.

I thought Crafting Bags would be a reason to stay subbed. But I do fine with the existing system, just by prioritizing. If the CP cap stays at 51/Qtr, I won't need a Crafting Bags or a sub, since I'll cap out not long after every DLC release. Without being able to grow my characters through CP, I'll have no reason to log on once I finish new content.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this in the crown store either. They'll need to do something to make up for the players who drop subs over CP restrictions.

I do not entirely agree with your statement about having storage space from the game as is. Sure, it is possible, but it takes up over 5 spots per V16 crafting gear to be able to craft a full set. So, there are over 15 spots taken up just by trying to have V16 crafting gear for light, medium, and heavy. If I throw in all the traits and styles, then I lose even more spots. I have not even gotten to crafting anything besides armor yet. My character is a master crafter. I have an entire guild bank (500) and my bank (maxed) filled. My guild bank is not entirely filled with crafting materials but my personal bank is and so is one of my mules (100). I am not going to argue that I have too many materials, but I can craft at any level because I have the supplies in my banks. If I got rid of my non veteran supplies I would be way better off, but I do not want to. I like being able to craft lower gear without running out and farming it.

If I am wrong, then I am wrong, but to have all the crafting supplies I have requires more than a maxed out bank and player.

On my Master Crafter, she has a stack of each Refined Clothing and Woodworking Mat for all levels, and multiple stacks of Tempers for each level, so about 90 slots total used up (it might be less but she has some foods, drinks and potions for writs on hand too). She has 200 slots total (recently up from 170, so she can carry all the Blacksmithing mats too but does not as I still have a Blacksmither I am using). In the bank I have all the Provisioning, Alchemy and Enchanting mats for all levels and all items as I have multiple characters including my Crafter cooking and brewing and enchanting. I also have raw mats for L1 and L9/L10 crafting. I don't keep around middle rank raw mats unless I have an alt I am leveling. But I have room to carry those too. But I do like to loot mobs so I want some bag space free on her.

So, yes it's possible to have every crafting item in the game in your inventory with one character and your bank. It's a total of 440 slots.

I already have an eso plus membership cause i love this game and generally i am against f2p models.

That said, other games has much more benefits for being a subscriber, eso needed a good perk for it.

But i also believe that zenimax will offer a one time purchase also. Like dlc, sub to get free access or buy them for x crowns.

Without materials in the bank you should have more than enough space with 240 slots, all the old v14 sets are junk anyway.

First of all, you dont have to subscribe, if you have 1 or 2 inventory alts you can store more than enough in my experience.

Second, this is a very smart way to keep players subscribing. I dont even know what would happen if your sub expires but Im sure thats will be thought of. This will generate more money, hopefully a decent percentage of this income will be used to improve the game so players keep subscribing.

At least nothing bad can come from this, if you dont want to sub you wont notice any change compared to the current inventory system.

    Agreed.

While ESO did some things really well - combat, story etc. - some of the basics like inventory management are just tragically bad. Worst I've ever seen. Now they're finally considering a sensible solution but want to restrict it to subbers?

No I definitely would not sub just for a temporary fix to this stupid problem. And it is temporary because once you unsub the problem returns.

I might come back and play again and pay a one-off fee for a fix to this stupid problem. Though even that would be galling - having to pay your way past crappy game design.

The best solution would be as in Guild Wars 2. Everyone could get some crafting storage. You can pay to expand that storage (up to a limit). And maybe subscribers could get a bit more storage on top of that.
