Instead of just being upset about the lack of new skills and passives for the upcoming dlc, I wanted to throw out some ideas. Instead of all new skill lines I think adding new set effects for mixing and matching gear could be interesting while adding a bit of build diversity (granted set effects aren't skills but they do bring change for my character) ex. Wearing one piece of night mothers with one night silence might allow the player unbreakable stealth while in a shadow. While a piece of night mothers and ashen grip might proc a shadow punch. You can make the combos piece specific like must be a helm and glove. And the effects don't have to be as strong as the examples I gave but it would give my gear choice layers past what will give me the highest amount of x so I can spam y. With the sheer amount of sets it would be fun just trying different builds as people try to find new interesting set effect combos to combine.
I also think the champion system could benefit from a similar system like putting x amount of points into blade expert and x points into befoul grants some meaningful unique effect so I'm not just dumping all my points into one thing mindlessly because that grants me the highest damage or defence or recovery.
I guess I'm looking for variety, I want to be able to surprise my group or opponents with a well thought out combination of unique mechanics and I also want to see new unique mechanics.
*Side rant* trap beast should throw out multiple traps our allow me to set more traps it's really cool as is but ultimately useless because it doesn't work on bosses/ravagers and just grabbing and hurting one daedra add is just meh. Thank you for your time.
