So last time they posted here about vMA, they said they are happy how it is and don't wanna change anything except bug fixes. Now they come and say they work on progress saving? I welcome the change, but this is lol.

Mike Finnigan, our Dungeon Lead, stated that there are no plans to adjust the balance in vMSA and are happy with the progression that's been made so far, and fixing bugs are currently their top priority. Adding a save feature has nothing to do with the balance, and is something that many of you have been asking for. We never said we weren't going to change anything.

Please reference the post here for everything Mike stated.

To be fair Gina, he did say:
One other thing that we are looking at, which is not planned nor on a schedule yet, is saving progress in Veteran Maelstrom.

That this went from "Not planned nor on a schedule." to "Yep, definitely happening, look for it soon." in less than a month is surprising. Glad to hear it is happening but it is a quick about-face.

Clearly in his quote they were looking at it. There was no plan or schedule. Now there is. What the hell are you talking about?

Of course there is no schedule before there is a schedule and no plan before there is a plan. But once they decide to plan it and schedule it there is. This is not an about face. This is time passing.

It is kind of upsetting that they have been completely silent about console text chat, then they announce it, but still don't give any information about it, not even an idea on how it would work in the way they are hypothetically working on. They didn't even say if it was coming in Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, or an update after that. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful it's coming, but for those of us that have waited months for an answer I think we deserve a little more information to chew on so to speak, as I believe we are still left in the dark.

It will come in time. They like to talk about stuff when they feel the time is right. The details will come out when they are ready.

Still not the best strategy IMO. When you do it like this, you can't implement great ideas you get from the feedback because they come too late when the thing is almost finished.

There is no shortage of feedback on text chat for consoles.

ZOS have said themselves that they plan quite far ahead on these things and they also said that this is a complex thing to do which takes a decent amount of time and resources to do which are being spent on other things. To say "not planned" means "not in the foreseeable future" for the most part when it comes to how ZOS use the term which is why I called it an about-face.

They've gone from "not happening but we're looking into it" to "yeah, it's totally happening, see it soon" in a very short space of time which is something we never really see.

As I said, I am glad to see it happen, just surprised how fast it went from not happening to happening..

One thing that never got clarified is a skills line for The Thieves Guild.

I know it's only a few weeks away till we find out but they did mention no more skill lines moving forward but what about Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood... we have them for Fighters and Mages surely we need a new one for these guilds!

A sneaky set of skills so anyone can go dark would be great to have!

There was a question about new skill lines in general, to which Matt Firor replied that that is something ZOS wants to do, but not in the near future, given their focus on balance and performance issues. That's prolly the same reason why they delayed Spellcrafting. So don't expect a skill line for the Thieves' Guild nor for the Dark Brotherhood, at least not in the first half of 2016.

      * Laurels and Goldscale coming to Crown Store? Actually, they are working on universal style mat to be sold in Crown Store, which works with everything and helps keep Crown items un-tradeable.

Link to post on ESO subreddit.

Hello @ZOS_GinaBruno & @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , with this Universal Style Mat being introduced, what steps are being taken so that this material isn't accidentally used for an always available Style Stone for example, Redguard, Altmer or Nord?

I craft A LOT of items daily and if I ever purchased these, I wouldn't want them to be wasted on a Style Mat other than Mercenary or Akaviri. These Universal Style materials should be able to be used for all of the exotic hard to get Style Materials but not the everyday ones.

I dont know about you guys but this makes me really happy.

Working on special events and Tamriel-specific holidays

In addition to nameplates, which are coming later this year, also working on Guild Plates.

      * Continued focus on social components, to "remove barriers so people can play with each other much easier with fewer restrictions." Extending this philosophy/systems, which is already found in Orsinium and cross-faction grouping changes, to upcoming content.

      * "Barbershop" still coming (being able to change name, appearance, race, etc). No ETA, but it is not part of first 2 quarters plan for this year. What's taking so long with it? In and of itself it's not too complex, but there are "about 80 systems" being worked on at the same time, which makes it take longer.

      * Crafting bags still being worked on. Scheduled to be Q2/DB update and exclusive to ESO+ subscribers.

      * Buying extra character slots planned for Q2/DB update.

      * Console text chat coming,

id rather have "no ETA" than them turning "2months ETA" in 6 months release date...

community never happy...if they give ETA ppl rage when it gets a little delayed, and if they say no ETA still doesent work cuz entiteled children NEEDS to know when they are getting stuff..

Toxicity over 9000.. imaturity and entitelment...forum in a nutshell
