EU server lag

I'm just curious how many other people are having a similar issue as I am. I live on the East Coast in the US and I play on the EU server. From launch till before this last Christmas, I've had no real issues playing the game. I've had some lag here and there but nothing I can recall off the top of my head that has been too hard to swallow. With that being said, this last Christmas, when Zeni said their EU server was experiencing a DDoS attack, I've had extremely bad lag during the late PM hours(EST) since then. I notice it start to happen around 7PM with small lag spikes, a spell may take a little longer to cast, swapping weapons has a small hiccup, but as the hours pass it gets extremely bad. At around 10-ish, I start to get 5 - 8 seconds of lag making the game completely unplayable.

Are there any other people in the States playing on the EU server having this problem and are any of our fellow friends across the sea whom live close to the EU server that play noticing anything odd around these times? (I believe you'd be about 5ish hours ahead of me.) I have gone over all the bases on my end, testing other MMOs during these hours, running speed tests and the sort, and everything is running as intended on my end so unless I'm completely overlooking something, I am confident it isn't my ISP. When I first submitted my complaint to Tech Support, told them I opened all the ports they suggested on their site, listed out all the tests I did on my end to make sure it wasn't me, they fired back at me (after waiting 74 hours for a reply) that I should uninstall and reinstall the game... They also suggested that I contact my ISP and to also open ports (although I already mentioned I did that) and they closed my ticket as being "solved".

I would also like to note that I did start a character on the NA server to test during these times I get lag on the EU server and I do not experience the same problem.
