Probably they think you're accidentally trading with them or whatever.

I often go lowbie zone/stormhaven and say in /zone Giving away XYZ free to first /w!

I often trade ingredients and such to players and then hoping they trade it off etc and think of the wonderful journey that ingredient will have before its made into a potion or food and then I hope to buy said stack of potion or food from a guild store.
Anyone?

The few times I've been invited to a random trade it's always been some kind of troll or joke, trying to give me a whole pile of random junk they don't want. The other times are people trying to give me money so I can give them a werewolf bite. Which I flat out refuse.

One time there was a terrible but funny misunderstanding! I was at the werewolf shrine and helped instruct someone on how to bite. I asked them them after if they bite for free. They said no and why? And I basically just gave a quick explanation that I have a werewolf guild who bites for free only. He then continued to say sorry and that he didn't know that selling bites wasn't allowed and begged me not to kick him from the guild. I was shocked. I tried to explain to him that "you are not in my guild, I was recruiting for it, if you want to sell your bite that's fine, I can't stop you". But he just couldn't understand. He tried to give me all the money he'd just been paid and I felt terrible at his misunderstanding, and refused the money each time he spammed trade. English wasn't his first language.

In the end I think he calmed down and I later sent a mail message that tried explaining the misunderstanding in as simple words as I could.
Never heard back from him but there you go
