Is it still all about Sorcs & NB?

I played the game upto about V2 on an old PSN for a few weeks after the release in June IIRC, and recently was considering going back to the game.
I would have to roll a totally new character and was wondering what the meta is now. I started out initially as a High Elf Sorc, and was consdering going back to the same thing because it was enjoyable with the option to switch between DPS and healing in PvP and be useful in different ways, even CC.
When I played it was all about Sorcs, or Stam NB (I think...) , but what about DragonKnights and Templars? Especially Templars... Do they have their place in ESO still? Did they ever get buffed, and If I was to roll a Templar, would I be limited to only healing?

✭✭✭✭✭Blackwater Blade (EU) still has a lot of Nightblades, but the number of sorcs is decreasing. It seems to be all about DKs and Templars there now.0 -

But yeah, I'd prefer to roll a Templar and be more useful to a group, but only if it's viable in PvP and gives the option of good DPS, at least in a 1 on 1, 2 on 2 scenario for when I'm just roaming around in Cyrodil.
Sorc was super fun to play though because of the versatility.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭There are so many templar spam bots in zergs now it's so hard to actually kill them.
Literally about 70% of pvp is now nb's, sorc's seem to be declining but every so often you do find a really good hard to kill one.
Magicka dk's don't exist, stam templars are hardly around, You'll either be 2 shot by a stam nb or proxy det by a magicka one.PS4 EU DC

NBs are as popular as ever.
There has been an increase in Stam Dks and temps too.0 -
Honestly I don't play Sorc that much but I have a main which is a NB. I feel like the player population for both classes are falling and switching to DK and TemplarYours truly, Kea'ra

Wait what? You been in cyro lately?
It's mostly nb's with a few sorc, then there's the occasional stam dk and healbot tempPS4 EU DC
