I had a feeling when they changed the ESO boobies that they were moving into the china / japan / asia markets....

Same thing happened in GW2, things were changed and dumb down because of releasing in the asia markets....especially china where they do not allow a lot of things and your game has to pass government approval before being allowed past the great firewall of china. :P

First game changed for consoles, now it will change for asia markets....

Just merge Japan with European players. On PS4 we have barely one active Campaign Im sure Japan doesnt get even that, so its gonna happen eventually anyway. I heard NA has 3 good Campaign so they are good. Or then go Russia, at least they should have good ping to Europe.

Want to add my thoughts to a couple comments and questions:

First I would say that several articles on mmoculture suggest that Japan will have its own server. I assume it will be local bc putting it in America is a silly idea, we have bad ping to the states.

@Mojmir "Yes now Japan will feel our pain of a broken game, honesty they're version will probably be great.since you know we've been beta testing it for 2 yes for them. "

With a local server those that have been playing on NA will enjoy the experience because we will have 200 less ping in all situations.

@Sixthly , @Dantonian_Rarstiana , and @ all the Aussie's and Kiwi's most VPNs are very affordable do not add much to, and in some cases reduce, ping. With a VPN you will likely be able to play on the Japanese server.

To all those in the continental U.S. feeling like trying out the Asian server prepare for 200+ ping if your internet is fast West coast may have slightly less. For some reference I pull 100mb down and the very best ping I see is in the 190s. if your internet is slow, i dont recommend trying as the game will be hardly playable.

It might not have a ip block, it would not make sense, to have it, well I can see them baring china but not other places, maybe North Korea as well but I think they might make it for the Asian community. Since they need a game to enjoy too.
Well them making a Japanese server means they are branching out into more world wide, they want to make as much money as they can.
Well, for places like Japen I think they want to make it simple, so they will do pc only. Because Japan might have there own console system that they don't want to toy with.

Since they got enough on their plate, not only do they have six mega servers, they have to make fixes to all of them, so it takes them awhile, to fix stuff. So basically they also have to fix the Japanese mega server. Which means longer waits for bug fixes. They might want to release the two dlcs thieves guild and dark brotherhood before they add the Japanese server to the mix. Which is the main reason they delayed it they might have delayed it.

North Korea?- Seriously?- A country, where people can just have one of the few hair cuts, which are given by law?- No, they cannot play ESO, this would be subversive to see, that you can have choice in hair styles. Ridiculous but true.

ESO could do well in the North Korea. Pete Hines would promise an uniqe, epic mount (fully loaded stealth A-bomber or something) to the Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un (a known and ardent fan of Elder Scrolls franchise), in exchange for signing a law that would require his subjects to spend 500% of their wages in the crown store (and take loans from a new subsidiary, Zenimax Online Loans). Those who would fail to meet spending quota would be sent to the famed north korean correctional facilities for...reeducation.
The only problem would be PvP, because them commies would all join the reds.

It's guaranteed that a Chinese version will make a lot of money as long as it's run by Tencent. But the problem is Tencent may not be interested in this game at all. A JP version? Who knows.
