I think so.
It would likely be included in some Recruit A Friend thing or, more likely, sold strait from the store.
Gotta do it right, though.
I can see a large draft horse being used, with a big, roomy saddle.
Or maybe the player mounts a guar with a rideable cart being pulled behind.

Friends could take turns driving or riding if both/all own one.
Or you could be your drunk friend's designated driver.

This would be great. My friends mount is so slow and I constantly have to wait for him.
This would be amazing in pvp transport.

+1 multi-person mounts. It would be useful for keeping a group together and a good way to include Mammoths, Silt Striders or anything else usually too big to be a conventional mount.

It would be great, but I think it would take up too much Dev time to completely overhaul the system; for this to work, mounts would need to be individual actors like the NPC animals you see. It's clear that the mounts right now aren't separate from the character model, they're just a morph of it.

It would be quite useful. For instance when me and my bf are on the way to some quest, if one person needs to leave the room for a bit or have something to eat, both people don't have to stop, the other can continue to move the stationary character to the destination. It's such a small thing though, it would only be slightly more convenient, as there isn't a problem to be fixed by it.

Great idea for PvP only!

It could be similar to the Battering Ram where multiple players could use it and then become say apart of the horse drawn carriage with the owner of the item being the driver riding into battle.
