Most Profitable Route for Thieves?

I am trying to maxmize the amount of gold and rare items I can get from thieving. Apparently, one area with alot of lockboxes in Wayrest. However, I am not sure how the lockbox spawning works. There is this one map that shows where everything is supposed to be but I have varying results.

Are their better locations then this? Are lockboxes even worth going for, or would it be more profitable to go to a location where I could get loot more easily? I check in some of the places that have "strongboxes" and there is nothing there. Also, what is a Malter Strongbox?

I normaly do lockboxes but also pickpocket all i came across between lockboxes and in those hourses also check for normal containers.
Keep a eye out specialy for Inns those are the best so try to find a roation up to 3 Inns at 3 diferent maps at the time you finish the 3rd the 1st should be up again

All the lockbox heavy areas are usually being hit by multiple people at a time, thus the varying results. Try doing it during off hours and you should have more success.

Well if I grab one before you then it will not be there for you until it respawns. If that's what despawn means, then yes.
