How many Purges does it take to remove Piercing Mark?

From what I know:
  1. If Templar, Purifying Ritual (Removes 2) completely removes all of it.
  2. If Other class, activating Cleansing Ritual synergy removes all of it.
  3. Does Cleansing Ritual (Removes 1) remove the whole thing or does it need to be casted multiple times?

But what about Purge and its morphs? Does it need to be casted once or twice or more?

The visual animation is removed (unless bugged which does seem to happen sometimes) with one purge or cleanse. Haven't gone in to character screen to check and don't have addons on console to check but seems to work as your health bar should also have the fracture removed with one cast.

If you have multiple DoTs or debuffs then you cleanse as many as the tooltip says you cleanse. From memory it was oldest cleansed first but not sure has been a while since I looked at it.
PUG Life - the true test of your skill

18 characters, 17 max level, at least 1 Stam and 1 Mag of every class, 1 of every race and 1200+ CP

Tanked to Undaunted 9+ Mag and Stam of every class using Group Finder for 90+% of the Vet Dungeon runs

there are some nightblades that spam that skill on people, as soon as mark target is removed they repeat it on you, over and over and over and over.
and you cleanse it and remove it over, and over, and over, and over.
    its really childish.

I actually thought this thread was an attempt to make a joke. Like:

How many purges does it take to remove Piercing Mark?
None, cause you'll be ganked before you can remove it.

    :D

How is it more childish than you spamming purge over and over?

Are you seriously asking this? Or are you trolling, the same as people do with Mark?

It's like saying, "neener neener neener, you can't find me cause stealth is broken in this game. nothing you can do about it except be annoyed. lel." The reason to purge it is because it's an extremely powerful debuff.

Mark shouldn't have a range larger than detect pots. Why does it have a 60 meter range? That's just absurd.

I just ignore it and go about my day. I learned to live with piercing mark. at first I would go to my personal Templar to help purge it but he says the symptoms are reoccurring. I see it as just a bad rash now.

    Dump on cloak? - check
Now dumping on mark. Every player I casted mark on, does the one thing I expect to see, put on a 25k shield and hold block. If a NB uses mark on you, he's making his presence known to you. DI you really need a detect pot to know he's there? I mean wow, how is Mark actually being called good? It's a waste of a skill slot. Personally I only use it when I'm in a group and someone can heal me, vigor/rally > mark

I asked a NB once and it's more than just the resistance debuff (you can be seen if cloak and if u die the NB gets a heal).

Templar Purifying ritual gets rid of 5 debuffs, not 2, so they will pretty much always cleanse it.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

It takes an average of 252 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.
    Hope this helps.
