Hello everyone, I am just getting back into ESO (PC) and I am just curious to if there is a census dedicated to how many active PC players there are in NA servers. I love consoles to, and i'm not bashing the console players, but all I see now while broadcasts on Twitch is just mainly console players. And i'd rather run my game at 100 fps, then the amount of the console limit fps. Back to the point at hand with the census of active players on NA server for PC...

I have no idea how we can come up with an active player number. But I wouldn't say it's "crowded".

Darn, I thought ESO (PC) would be crowded with millions, like WOW. Lol

From my understanding isn't in the top 10 most played pc games at the moment which I find odd.

It's truly a great mmo. Gw2 should be the only real competition right now and the expansion messed that game up

But then how many have come anew to replace them? Not 70%, but probably a good portion of that.

Out of the replacements 90% have left 10 months ago.

Welcome back!

I have been playing for last 3 months on PS4EU and it has busy times and quieter times. I think it's ok. I have played MMO's that were showing signs of dying and I am sure this is not one of them. Anyone remember Tabula Rasa and Age of Conan before it went free to play. On both of those I could log in and literally play all day and not meet one player.

I am really enjoying playing ESO, yes there are things that really frustrate or annoy me and find myself saying "wtf were they thinking when they implemented that" but on the whole playing is a positive experience and I look forward to future developments.

youre back and im leaving untill templars and DKs get a rework. i left PC when consloe released. im bored with this game. google 2015 ESO popultion there have been a huge number that left some of these replies are near accurate.

ESO just broke it's own "average players per month" and "all-time peak" record on Steam, like the 4th time this year alone.

December 2014 -> 843.5 average players
December 2015 -> 3,049.1 (and still growing) average players
That's 261% increase, not 70% decrease.

It's not like Steam matters much, as less than 10% of all copies were sold through Steam (ESO came to Steam 6+ months after launch). Even though we're dealing with a much lower numbers than the actual numbers (410k copies sold on Steam), it's still a good indication wherever ESO is growing or declining.

Last year ESO had on average 1.2mil subs based on SuperData reports, and the average on Steam was nowhere as high as this year. You can be pretty sure that ESO has at least 2mil active monthly players just on PC alone.

Hell you can even check the Google Trends and you'll notice that ESO is #2 most popular MMO (behind WoW) in 2015.

It's also worth noting that ESO has already outsold FFXIV on Steam (410k - 360k), even though FFXIV launched with Steam, had 6 months headstart from ESO, and costs only 20$.

I dont know,..I've seen tons of people.Except for certain times when they are in RL trying to keep uo with their lives. lol. I've had a lot of fun when they are on,doing delves,etc. Havent found it empty,as some here indicate.

NA PC player here. Been here since beta. Playing A little less atm. Enjoying some fallout 4. Will be back on eso heavily again once I beat fallout and get all the types of endings I'm sure.
