One question on last boss of Maelstrom Arena

Hi all,

I watched videos and checked forum but could not find an explanation to one of the attack of the last boss of MA. After all the deaths in non vet I am not going to try vet until I sort this out...Died too many times

At some point (after the boss goes back down in the main area) there is a constant damage attack on the entire area. It is not coming from the boss so I cannot interrupt it (not like his channeling attack that just needs to be interrupted quickly). There is no red circles I can avoid. I have only been able to tank it (after several failures) but not easy with adds and channeling attacks at the same time.

My theory is that it is a special attack that happens if I let the boss get too many gold ghosts... Am I correct or wrong? Do you know what I'm talking about?

If I'm not mistaken, a Xivkyn mob will run to the center and start channeling something on the center rune. If they complete that, a mechanic is activated causing the damage you're describing.

Oh, that could be the one.... The only guy I know going to the center was the one trying (and unfortunately something managing) to summon the big beast...

Your screen come blue? If this is the case is that the boss caught three gold ghosts.

Yes!!!!! The screen changed color (Blue I think...it was late and was getting tired).... So my interpretation was correct (3 gold ghosts for the boss)? Thanks mate!
