Sap Essence doesn't increase Skill damage

Greath
Greath
My concealed weapon does 8575 unbuffed. If I hit an enemy with Degeneration it increases to 10k, but if I use Sap essence on an enemy it doesn't increase. Both abilities increase my Spell damage on my character sheet but sap doesn't increase my ability damage.

Sap essence gives major brutality, no? That's weapon damage, not spell damage. Right, the morph gives spell damage too.

Sap Essence gives both Major Brutality and Sorcery *if* a mob is hit by the spell. Testing it just now and it seems to work fine for both magicka and stamina abilities including concealed weapons.

Can you do more testing? Make sure you are hitting something with the spell and getting the buffs (assuming you are on PC and can check). Make sure you don't already have a Major Sorcery buff on you when you check your base ability damage. Test with other sources of Major Sorcery like Structured Entropy or potions. Try restarting your game client. Unequip/equip armor. Check the actual ability damage instead of the trusting the tooltip (they are often wrong).

How do you get concealed weapon to hit at 8575 unbuffed? Just curious.

Major Sorcery does increase Spell Damage but that in turn should increase your tooltip values.

Weird. There are a bunch of a UI bugs that prevent your Spell Damage (among other things) from being correct as well as some incorrect tooltip values. I would guess you are running into one of those bugs.

With this build I get 8000 on Concealed Weapon unbuffed with 2400 Spell Damage, 38k Magicka and 64 points in Thaumaturge. With more SD/Magicka/CPs a Concealed Weapon approaching 9000 dmg should be possible.

I have about half that many champion points into Thurmaturge, but everything else is heavy spell damage. All 3 jewelry enchants are truly superb glyphs of spell harm, I am wearing a vet 15 5 piece law of Julianos set and 2 piece torug's pact. All armor enhants are maximum magicka and I also have the 3 piece willpower bonus. In the end, I have about 2400 spell damage, but my concealed weapon only hits at about 6k unbuffed. What am I missing? Do the added champion points in Thurmaturge make that much of a difference?

At 32 points in Thaumaturge I'm guessing you're about 8% less bonus than me which wouldn't explain the difference. What is your max magicka and how does it compare to mine (38k)?

    Mundus?

I have 59/64 attribute points into maximum magicka which equates to about 33 k magicka in Cyrodiil. Any suggestions to get that to 38k? My mundus is currently the thief to increase spell crit, but I suppose I could change it. Thanks for helping me out. I played with a stamina blade the other day who showed me his character sheet with over 4300 weapon damage. He wouldn't tell me how he got it aside from it being expensive, and that is wasn't a bug or exploit.
