Sound problems with staff charge audio. (Please move to support)

Been away for about 10 moths i think and the reason i got dissatisfied and stopped playing was that sound effect got broken when tamriel unlimited launched, back then i tried repairs, reinstalls, windows reinstall, ini tweaks, new drivers and other drivers for sound card but nothing helped.

I also sent many bug reports and feedback on the matter but problems never got fixed

During those 10 moths i was away, i relogged every now and then to see if these things have been fixed but nothing has happened, in faact now there are even more sounds that dont work at all or work when they feel like it..


The problem is that many sound effect like healing and fire staff completely miss most of heavy attack effects, some spells like strife and dark flare dont play their effect.. Flurry has no sound effect at all apparently...

For me the audio is as important part of the whole as visuals or story, immersion comes from everything. I just get annoyed when something in the game does not work...

Yes sound effect are considered "Minor problems" and thus, be fixed after important problems but my experience in other games has been that these kind of minor bugs get fixed in few moths, mostly it take up to three moths and in ESO, it has been over a year for the first audio problems and instead of anything getting better, things get more brokenö.

Are these things even mentiuoned by the devs and are they attempting any kind of fixes to them?

Has anyone else having similar problems?

I can (not) hear these issues as well, it seems to happen moreso in DLC zones this is on PS4.

LOL it is still bugbugbuggy. After staying through beta and hanging out for a year to complete the story line... yeeah, all the lil things start to wear. Now when I pop in from time to time to run around and steal stuff, I just laugh at how screwed up things still are and some even worse than before. It is such a pretty place... was such a good idea... and so poorly executed. It makes me sad.

There's definitely glitchiness and bugs... however, I have only experienced some minor sound effects bugs, and they seem sporadic and not constant...

Can you provide video of the sound problems you're having?

This issue really irritates me to level of hate..

I mean its years now.. Practically and while it last time was just fire staff, now it fire AND ice staff that are broken..

I stopped reporting this issue long time ago since nothing never seems to happen.. In one patch it was all fixed but it was short joy.

I have been here since beta and have yet to experience a sound issue. I did have a npc vanish in me randomly and relogging fixed it

@jircris11 yeah, this seems to be very selective issue as some people i have spoken with in game, tell me they have it too while others say, it does not happen >.<

I mean i have installed everything again many times and all my hard drives have been once viped out for service reasons so nothing should be brokewn on my side.. Unless the install always corrupts somehow on the download but i think its highly unlikely.

Problem with this is, that the actual soundcard has been changed in the midway when my old mobo died.

It originally worked just fine, when ESO converted to Tamriel unlimited, the sound wwent broke the first time in that exact patch, afterwards a year later, it was fixed for couple of weeks but then came another patch fixing something else and it went broke again.. Now it has been practically a year again that the sound is not worked properly at all. Very rarely any other sound effect glitches so its minor inconvenience and i can tolerate it but the fire and ice staff sounds are always broken so they irritate me very much.

I am open to suggestions though to test for example, if somebody knows some .ini tweaks i could try or other means.

Just tried updating audio drivers, no change at all

Maybe this should have originally been in support section anyways.

I read from some other post, that these kinds of issues might be related to poor computer performance and i proceeded to drop resolution to 720p and also, i reduced all settings to minimal.

When the FPS is over 80, the sound sometimes worrk on staff heavy attack charge but still its only 1 of 15 charges or so.. Evenm when FPS is over 100 the sound problem still persists so i dont think this is related to performance... I also "Reset" the sound card like some other article suggested but that does not work

I just want these sounds to work so i could finally play my ice and fire mages

Tweaked pretty much everything i can find on tyhe net, still the same. Updated drivers (all) manually and even made a tweak to keep all cores unparked all the time.

The other odd thing is, that always when i login the first time, FPS is around 60 or more, then it gradually degrades as i play to 20ish and i have to reload the whole game again. This happens over period of 15 minutes. It feels like there is also a major memory leak somewhere..

Could be but then again, its perphaps the worlds most common soundcard, integrated Realtek which basically almost everyone has. Would be odd if a common soundcard has this sort of problem.. Though there ARE different revisions so one cant never be sure.
