Any way to summon a leveling animal in the game?

Hey,

I have a sorcerer, full magika. and was thiking if the summoning are any good?
do you just summon from dead enemies you've killed?

and is there any way to have a pet\animal to fight for your side or do anything and also level up?

You do not have animal companion. The only combat pets are the daedric summoning of the Sorcerer class. And yes they can be very good in certain build and helpfull during leveling.

the only "pets" in the game are Sorcerer ones at the moment, the scamp when ranked up to rank 4 (maxed) you can morph the skill into either an explosive scamp or a clannfear which acts more like a wolf, and then much later you can unlock a twighlight which is a sort of harpy, not to mention we have the storm ach as an ultimate

There are no animal pet skills except for a crappy undaunted skill synergy which doesn't really much make a pet.

Sorc pets are very powerful for solo play though and extremely powerful for leveling to V1. You also kind of want to use them early to level up summoning up to Ward. When I leveled up my altmer sorc I got my Ward at around 30-35 then I started soloing most Normal dungeons before even getting to Vr1. I had around 150CP but pets+ward on mag Sorc is very powerful for solo play.
