Thank you for making load screens on consoles more tolerable. Although now it seems all npcs load a lot more slowly.. Some may even not load at all, and I'll have to relog for them to appear. Anyone else notice this playing on console?

I once had the bank of daggerfall person refuse to load on me at all Seriously @ZOS_GinaBruno please give NPCs priority over players I don't care what clothes (or lack thereof) the other players are wearing I want to be able to go to the bank or turn in my undaunted quests without having to wait half a minute because some people have vanity issues.

He clearly said half a minuet. We could be talking 7 or 8 minutes, which you must admit is pretty excessive.
Every time someone swears, it gets replaced with three asterisks. There's only one three-letter swear word that I know of. I read that in the place of every set of three asterisks. It makes for some amusing sentences.

Yeah Maj usually takes 10 but one time I swear it was that long during prime time (didn't help that there where a bunch of AOE spammers I bet), bankers are bad as well but lately not as many people have been there at the same time as I have but when it is a crowd...

Even half a minute is way too much for a game in 2015, even a MMO.
There are games lot more detailed and complex that load in the fraction of that time.

Ummmm your whole sentence reeks of not understanding the underlying complexity of large scale dynamic MMOs.

Most of those games that are more detailed are probably not MMOS, are probably instanced to smaller player groups, and are probably not simultaneously processing the activity of MMO level player bases, probably doing most of the work client side rather than server side.

Your whole message reeks of absolute lack of experience with modern MMOs. I have very rarely loading screens that last longer than 15 sec - and those are usually the first ones after starting client or at worst case first time game world loading. Right now im frequently playing - GW2, SWOTR, tried BDO and Star Citizen - in none of those games so much of my play time i spent on loading screens as in ESO.

    There is clearly a problem.

I once had the bank of daggerfall person refuse to load on me at all

That one has gone AWOL on me. It happens on some characters but not others. Lately though, I have not had this issue. But, I just go to another bank in another town when it happens. One thing I did notice that when Angie was AWOL, there were a ton of players in the bank at the same time, so perhaps server load is a cause. A relog does not bring them back either I have noticed.

Also, the Belkarth Stablemaster can go AWOL too.

But, other than those two NPCs, I have not noticed any others go AWOL.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

GW2 was also known for infinite load screens a lot in world vs world. SWTOR has the worst performance issues of any MMO to date, just research illum. The main cities in SWTOR had the same loading issues as ESO. So ya, welcome to modern MMOs where things have to load , even for an inconceivable half a minute. Well, no. When I thought you were talking about 7-8 minutes, I totally got your frustration. Now that I understand you're only talking about 30 seconds or so, yeah, not better.

Second i play GW2 from launch and never had the problem you described, nor i have heard from anybody else (not to mention GW2 wvw maps dont have loading screens once the map loads. SWOTR was worse than it is now its true, and thanks but i dont have to research Illum - i know that i have been there and while it was a stinking pile of fps issues loading screens where nowhere near level of ESO. Not to mention Illum was deemed a total failure just because of its problems and practically abandoned.

But please go ahead and tell me more how im a spoiled kid and know nothing about MMOs. If you dont value your time its up to you, for me its not acceptable and was one of many reasons i didnt log in for the last 1.5 month.

Played that trash for a while starting with beta. 2.SWTOR is still pretty damn bad as of, lets see, last week. 3.I don't know what kind of kid you are so I won't comment on that. I think most people could agree it's one of the worst mmo's out right now. I have played unfinished Korean f2p's that perform better than SWTOR. But please go ahead and tell me more how im a spoiled kid and know nothing about MMOs. If you dont value your time its up to you, for me its not acceptable and was one of many reasons i didnt log in for the last 1.5 month.

1.GW2 did indeed have the problem he described, but not only on the initial WvW screen but throughout other zones. Played that trash for a while starting with beta. 2.SWTOR is still pretty damn bad as of, lets see, last week. 3.I don't know what kind of kid you are so I won't comment on that. Also, Welcome back friend! I'm assuming you're back in game after 1.5 months and not just trolling the forums, cuz that would be sad. :'(

    1. While i havent played beta, but since i started 3 weeks after launch and i can say that i never had problems with loading screens in GW2. Btw could you show on a doll where did GW2 touched you?. 2 SWOTR - comparing to ESO runs smooth and i must say i never had endless loading screens nor long loading screens in the middle of the zone. 3 Everyone is somebody's kid i guess. Also thanks! I indeed loged in for about 1 h. Azura Star performed as usual, strolled around for a while in PvE zones but the sole thought of doing another fully voiced fetch quest made me log off. Frankly speaking even if i didnt log in lately i do feel that i am entitled to expressing my opinion on a product i bought, dont you think?

gw2 was indeed terrible for loading screens, far worse than ESO in my opinion, I didn't give it long though, those Korea mmo's are getting worse and worse every year.

Swtor barely ever played that, gave it a go and just felt wrong, last I looked they merged the servers and people were complaining the game was still empty. Not to mention how it lost a huge player base so quicker and had to go F2P just to stay online.

Anyway the loading screen bug was here for 3 months, it is now fixed and loading screens are all sub 15 seconds even in cyro for me, and most of the playerbase.

When I load in my first char for the day, yes it takes around 10-30 secs for all the surrounding players and NPC's to load, but in that time I can check through my Hireling mail, read the Hireling message (which are awesome) and walk to the Stablemaster/Banker, depending on who's closer. The chars after that load in a whole lot faster.
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!
