A milion reasons to play? I ve got just one NOT to ...

Curent state of PvP in this game and the curent direction the game seems to be "evolving" is giving me one single reason not to play this game any more (played since betas in Q1 2014) that overcomes all of the milion to do otherwise.

I usually enjoy all the aspects of MMO, but what really keeps me stay, play and have fun is PvP ... this game just doesnt make me stay any longer. Cyrodiil is a lagfest, Imperial city is NOTHING of what it was advertised to be and all the current "fixes" and planed changes don't seem to lead anywhere ...

I don't need a "milion reasons to play" BS propaganda .. I don't think anyone with half of a brain and pair of eyes will fall for that .. I would need just one sipmple reason: Functional and meaningfull PvP (AvA) which this game was advertised to be about ..

It's a shame for a game with such a great potential, but it's got wasted and it's time to move on .. one reason outweights a milion

Dude ... I've finished all the PvE content in this game. except vet Singe Arena ... it gets repetitive ... and one thing that might have been great in this game and would kept a lot of players (not just me, or so I belive) playing is bloody broken and nowhere remotely close to get fixed ... I's not that I didn't want to play the game .. I went trought the whole game several times ...

Every supposed "fix" has the exacly opposite effect now (mag detonation vs. AoE caps, new battle spirit vs. even better one-shot builds), resources wasted on upcomming housing, last DLC is pure single player PvE focused (in MMO? really?) ... not even Wrobel making account on forums (after how long BTW?) convinces me this broken game is going to get fixed during my lifetime

Im not a PvPer, but I do agree with the OPs post.

ESO is a lagfest, with broken quests, glitchy graphics and an overall sense of being incomplete.

I recently came back after a year or so hiatus (real life took priority) and since coming back (about two weeks ago) Ive seen nothing but negatives in game.

The console community is terrible (I have Xbox, my roomie has a PS4, so Ive seen both) mainly because no one communicates.
Due no doubt, to the horrible voice only / no chat window idea that someone at ZOS thought made sense.
    Obviously, they are mistaken.

The lack of a global auction / trading system is also a huge mistake, and the guild system is very poorly implemented.

Overall I see the future of ESO as bleak. Maybe the PC people have it better, I cant say.

ESO doesnt need a million dollar gimmick, it needs a rebuild.

What is everyone talking about? PvP is fantastic in this game. Capture the flag runs are awesome. The structured 1v1, 3v3 and 5v5 match ups are great too. Lag in Cyrodiil? No way. No. Way. Lies.

Even PvE endgame content is amazing. I love the Dungeon Mark system, especially. You know, how you run a dungeon for a number of "Marks" to save and spend on gear you want, making dungeon running viable. The raids are to die for. Grouping easily and seamlessly is golden.

    On a serious note..

I love ESO, I will say that. However, I stand by my statement that it is by-far more of a single player RPG with a smidge of MMO elements tossed in. As far as an RPG is concerned, it's alright. Compared to something like Witcher 3.. not so much. As an MMO, it's alright. Not much to do, but it's alright.

No hard feelings, but i just logged in for the first time in 1.5 months, and all i got was empty or half empty zones exempt orsinium - in there issues with game working wonky, 1 pvp campgain in which there seemed to be anybody and yet nowhere near the lvl i am used to (yeah IC sharing population). I really dont think ill try logging in again in long long time. Thats EU for you.

Oh,..no,no.You should try at different times,in IC. I would say Orsinium, but there is no PvP there. Not being a PvPer.I dont know where everyone could have gone to.There seem to be a lot of PvErs still playing though. Most are in Orsinium, and will probably be there till the newness wears off. lol.
I do understand people's frustrations with not having enough people to run PvP with.I dont myself, but if that is your favorite play style,it must be rough without others.

Yeah, let's waste a million on a commercial action rather then fixing the game shall we?

I'm in a similar position as the OP, recently posted a thread myself in regards to the game:

Personally I really love every other aspects of the game. That's why I'm playing ESO. They could remove the PVP entierly it would not change anything for me.

That doesn't mean I do not wish it would be improved and solved. Of course I wish PVP to be better for all players that enjoy PVP.

I agree with the OP on this one. My wife and I completed all of the PVE in this game with the exception of the Maelstrom Arena which is IMO a waste of gold. We have completed all of Orsinium and are logging less and less hours each week. The lagfest that is the Large Scale Battles that were promised is very disappointing.

Hopefully something DRASTIC will change on PVP Lag with the next DLC update otherwise we may be done with the game. You can only run the same dungeons so many times.

    Dont worry folks,

I'm sure it's just a few more months till another game starts to get rolling...*cough, cough...CU* and if it's done right, this bitter tasting pvp, inaction of devs to fix lag, balance, and bugs will all be tossed aside like the big huge steaming pile that it is.

Aye, totally agree. PvP is the only thing keeping me here as well. PvE content is all over and done with, can't think of a thing I haven't done (except some stupid achievements which require you to do some obscure things or grind for stuff).
I really want to enjoy this game I really do, I love it (for the most part), but the sorry state of the game from a technical standpoint is preventing me to enjoy it, it's simply not enjoyable at all when the thing I enjoy most is barred from me behind a lag-wall (and disconnects). And it's not a occasional thing, it happens every single night without exception. As soon as any raid forms up and any decent fights start to happen - boom - Ping shoots up and stays up until the groups disband/leave.

This might mean nothing to PvE players as I too experience very little lag in pve zones, but since PvP is my primary goal - it is a dealbreaker for me. So now if I have time in the afternoons, I don't play ESO anymore like I used to, because I know it's pointless, so I play some other games until late at night when cyrodiil is less crowded and playable. It's a damn shame because I really miss those large fights we had when I started playing (didn't lag much then), whereas nowadays, I know I will rage and my blood will boil cuz of constant high ping and disconnects, and I'm not going through that - it's so not worth it.

    You forgot also...

The "Million Reasons to Play" camapaign is NOT directed to CURRENT players. Its to drive NEW players, who have never played to buy / test drive and buy the game... and spend money in Crown Store, because they don't have "useless" subs.
