Black Screen occurs when attempting to move character

Thx in advance for any assistance.
Since Monday's patch, my wife has been unable to play. She gets past the launcher, can load in a character and can even open in game mail. But as soon as she attempts to move in the game world she gets the dreaded black screen.
Thoughts? I'm assuming some setting file text line has been altered but I have no idea what that may be.
She runs a gaming laptop- nvidia card 880m gtx. Windows 7 is the OS. DX11.

native0606b14_ESOSoul ShrivenSame thing is happening to me... tried to start playing again last week, and after a random amount of time (5-15 mins average) the game flashes to a black screen. I can still hear in game noises, and I am forced to shut the game down from task manager.
Tried to find answers online, and put in a support ticket. No joy.
Really frustrating.0
