How do they plan on raising the CP cap? When is that going to happen?

No confirmed information yet, however my guess would be that they just say "the cap is now 552" or something, anyone with enough CP will be at cap again instantly, everyone else will once again gain enlightenment to reach that point.

Most likely first time will be Thieves Guild (first quarter next year) however they may be waiting for VR removal.

Sorry I can only offer you speculation.

Last ESO live brought out more info about this. Vet ranks won't be removed with thieves guild but later in the year is the plan.

CP cap raising still being thought out internally but won't be raised every DLC is the idea so far and not being raised with thieves guild DLC

Hazarding a guess I would say that the cap isn't going to be raised until after the removal of VR ranks. ZOS has stated they are looking at (though it's not finalized) having CP take the place of levels for gear requirements.

They really should raise it small amounts monthly or something, say 20 points a month. I mean its not going to be long before a lot of serious players will hit that cap.

600 sounds too little, Ive 513 already, when Thief DLC hits its probably 550. More like 800-1000. I think they should make it easier for new players, that should mean new and casuals stay on board, every time CP is raised.

Considering how many players ZOS previously were way below the cap, I don't think they want to continue allowing "serious players" to increase their huge advantage over those 'less serious'. After all, why would those at cap need an advantage if fellow "serious players" were at the same level? Seems to me the only reason these "serious players" want a cap raise is because they want to continue their dominance over 'less serious' players. Plus, with the F2P weekend, they hope more new players come into the game... and if so... it will take these players quite some time to reach cap.

They probably won't raise it with the Thieves Guild.

They still want the catch up mechanic to have to time to do its thing. I will expect a raise to 750-800 range by Q2 2016.

Oh for the record CP will pretty much be outmoded for PVP once ZOS introduces no CP in non-vet, and have vet no CP campaigns. I imagine most players will move to non-CP campaigns.

I seriously doubt they will raise it in larger than 100 CP increments.

I recall they did mention on ESO live (not the latest, a previous one) that they won't be raising it by 500 each time, it'll likely be smaller increments like 100-200 or something. Of course, these numbers weren't solid, just an idea, everything could change for all we know.

I'd say 30 a month at least. If you play a few hours every day or if you play for a longer period on the weekends, you are bound to get a CP a day at least.

I figure when they do raise it, it will come in smaller increments. However, ZOS can tell by datamining where their players are with CP, so I doubt they will raise much it if they still see the majority of players below it.

I see your point with new players but I think there is a catch up mechanism right? I don't see how raising it 20 a month is a big deal... thats less then 1 cp a day and with enlightenment that like the equivalent to play 3 hours a week or something

Last I heard, the plans were to raise it with every major DLC release - makes sense I guess. How much, that they may still be considering, but we'll see anyhow.

How do you doubt in an environment were CP is unusable that it will be outmoded in that environment? If you can't use them you can't use them. The only element of conjecture is whether or not the majority moves to non-cp campaigns. I happen to think they will.

I cant imagine playing my char with 0 cp. I would have to re-do my entire build....I am sure most players with 200+ cp would feel the same. I think all the casual players would go to the 0cp campaign while more serious players would stay put. Who knows though I could be wrong.

I'd rather get my behind kicked very throughly by the high c-point players then loose my hard-earned c-points every time I go to do cyrodil dailies...

raising the CP to fast is the dumbest thing ZoS can do actually. the max CP is already set at 3600. if you speedroll through it you will get to the point of no progression which can and probably will make players leave because there is no progression. i hop they won't raise it more then 200-300 a YEAR. this way the game can last a long time

You do realize that some players simply enjoy progressing their characters and, for these players, the game feels stale when progression is halted?

Eric Wrobel stated during an ESO Live that after the initial 501 cap the cap will be raised by around 200 per quarter, which means each new DLC will raise the cap. As of yet I have not heard anything stating this plan will change.

you are aware the game can't go beyond 3600 CP. it's just a way to look at the cap and the progression in it. for ZoS it would be more healthy to slowly raise the cap then increase the cap over 500-600 at a time

Yes indeed, fully known, understood, and even in agreement. My comment was in reply to the statement about 'serious players' using high CP to leverage advantage against weaker players, and thus no perceived need to (even slowly) raise the cap.
