Most people would argue that it's lore breaking. I on the other hand would like to see a once a year instance where you can fight Santa Clause or Frosty the Snowman like they were world bosses. Kind of like the one episode of Sword Art Online where Kirito fights Nicholas the Renegade.

ESO could handle this in a new lore-friendly way... There are many lore holidays we can celebrate.

As much as I enjoy the whole "Santie Claws" character... please stop trying to make "Fishmas" a thing in ESO.

Honestly, I'm glad ESO doesn't have holiday events. We're blasted with holiday events in the real world (TV, parties, store sales, etc.) and it's nice to escape for a couple of hours.

I'm not against holiday events in games. Some have incorporated them successfully, while in others it feels forced. I just don't see ESO benefiting from a holiday event.

That said, I think if ESO did include holidays, they should follow LotRO's model and include lore-friendly holidays that are not mundane knock-offs of real life holidays. This allows for breaks in the daily gaming routine without shattering the immersion.

Santie is just doing Santie's thing. Santie was created as the living spirit of Fishmas so it sort of hard for this one to ignore it. If anyone else wants to come along for the journey they are welcome. If not then that is their choice and this one respects that.

This one occasionally plays a game called 'outside world'. There are many celebrations there that have their foundations in deepest myth and legend. Some of them, Santie suspects, are just an excuse for a good party and a lot of chocolate.

So on that basis is Fishmas any less valid a celebration than many others? It is possible to celebrate many things or not celebrate at all as you wish.

Santie does not claim to speak for all khajiit either. There are many noble and wise khajiit who have read many books and fought many battles. Santie is not one of these. Santie goes fishing, gets drunk and naps where she falls.

Santie is just Santie. No more and no less.

I don't like the general idea of "Holiday" events, as they generally mean that something is forced into the game just because it's a holiday. However, special events that are random and not related to anything irl are very good.

I'd love Holidays to be added as well,but the Lore Lords wont have it.Not Lore friendly,they will say.
(just my opinion,but then I used to decorate Morrowind up with great Christmas decorations and all.)

Actually only christians celebrate who represents less than third of world population.

I would like some festive sales similar to black friday ones imho. And nothing ingame. SWTOR looks ludicrous with Sith throwing snowballs.

lol. This is so incorrect. Christmas is as much a cultural western holiday as it is a Christian holiday now.

If Im playing a game developed in China, by the Chineese, played mostly by Chinese people then the Chineese New year would be an appropriate holiday.

In this case, Christmas is the appropriate holiday to celebrate.

Depends on what happens to the poo afterwards. Does it get thrown? Do you eat it? Do you just squish it between your fingers? Do you eat finger foods afterwards? These are all important considerations.

To be perfectly honest, they can just create lore for these events. A lot is established but a lot is still open for interpretation or, in this case, creation.
