[Drop Info] Wrothgar Daily Contract Recompense

I've probably done around 125-150 Wrothgar dailies so far on my VR 16 characters, for the last 62 I wrote down what I received as a reward (whether it was a set item or not and if it was VR 15 or VR 16).

Based on that data I got the following values:

Wrothgar Daily Reward:

Chance to get a set item (no matter if VR 15 or VR 16): 19/31 (61.29%)
Chance the item is VR 16 if you get a set item: 4/19 (21.05%)
Chance to get any VR 16 set item: 4/31 (12.90%)
Chance to get a VR 16 set item of a specific set: 4/93 (4.30%)
Chance to get a specific piece of a specific set that is VR 16
Chance to get the best trait on a specific piece of a specific set that is VR 16
Examples:
Chance to get VR 16 Briarheart Necklace with ANY trait (assuming the chance to get a necklace, in general, is 1/10 and not 1/9)

You can also find blue VR 16 items of the Trinimac's Valor, Briarheart, and Mark of the Pariah sets in treasure chests. However, for jewelry, that means that it won't be the best quality available ('cause the item is only blue and the quality of jewelry can't be updated with crafting).

Also, VR 16 set items in treasure chests are quite rare, even for characters that have the Treasure Hunter passive ability from the Champion System. And even in Hidden Treasure chests obtained from Orisinium Treasure Maps, the chance to get a blue VR 16 set item is quite low (about 1/4 I'd say based on my experience).

I've decided to post this data here, since it might be helpful to know for some players.

Updated Drop Info for "Wrothgar Daily Contract Recompense" Containers:

I've kept track of what I got as a reward from Wrothgar dailies since the release of the Thieves Guild DLC to get an idea of the current drop rates. Will update this post as I complete more dailies

Total number of world boss dailies done: 132

VR 15 non set item of blue (superior) quality: 61 (46.2%)
VR 15 set items of blue (superior) quality: 54 (40.9%)
VR 16 set items of purple (epic) quality: 17 (12.9%)
Malacath Motif chapters: 15 (11.4%)

Total number of delve dailes done: 57

VR 15 non set item of blue (superior) quality: 23 (40.4%)
VR 15 set items of blue (superior) quality: 27 (47.4%)
VR 16 set items of purple (epic) quality: 7 (12.3%)
Trinimac Motif chapters: 14 (24.6%)

(Each container includes one of the three rewards that are not motif chapters. Motif chapters are sometimes received as an additional reward from a container that already includes one of the three regular rewards.)

This basically just confirms what I've thought all along... it's not worth it for me to do the dailies. The time investment is way too much for someone who actually just wants to PvP, mostly.

The dailies drop rates are terrible.

I've been looking for v16 Briarheart set since Orsinium launched . I'm somewhere between 500 - 750 bags thet is the conservative estimate.

I actually found the v16 purple jewelry the catch is of the three pieces two are arcane.

I also have the two v16 Trinimac rings that are both robust.

Assuming I continue to play, and since Orsinium dailies will be little bit easier with motif farmers for a little while.

I'll find a v16 briar set with divines and robust jewelry about the time they raise they level cap

If we assume that the chance to get a purple VR 16 set item as a reward is 20%, then the chance to get a purple VR 16 Briarheart Necklace with Robust is very likely either 1/450 (0.22%) if the chance to get a necklace is 1/10 or 1/405 (0.24%) if the chance to get a necklace is 1/9. So, yes...

Whenever they introduce new dropped sets, motifs etc. there will always be some mind-numblingly long grind to it. It kind of drives me nuts because I want to know the new motifs but my crafter is so far behind, he still needs to finish Akaviri and Ancient Orc and now he has to learn Outlaw, Trinimac, Malacath and the alliance styles... all of which seem like a boring grind to get. They need to find a happy medium honestly, the merc. style motif pages weren't that bad at all. You did a pledge and you probably got a page, pretty sweet. It took some time to get the pages but it wasn't a boring grind... perfect.

They should increase the drop rates of the new pages a little, so that players aren't burning themselves out getting the new styles.

I gave up on these. They seem to be doing these loot tables designed for people who sub to keep them subbing. I only buy DLC keeping me doing it has no value to them or me. The chance to get the purple jewelry is so low what's the point. I've got other things I can do.

At first I loved how hard the WB's were, but I have come to despise the dailies. All grind, no fun.

I have decided I'm totally fine with my V15 pieces.

Drop rates working as intended. You'll find the motifs you want in the crown store, now or in the future. Other than that, the only realistic way to get all motif chapters is buying at guild kiosks. It's how I got all Ancient Orc motif. You'll pay more if you buy when they are released, but risk not finding a needed chapter if you wait until interest in the new motifs drops off.

Motifs are ok, since theyre tradeable. the situation is more complicated if someone wants the sets.

I actually got a purple VR 16 Briarheart Collar yesterday. Finally, after hundreds of dailies since the Orsinium DLC was released. With ARCANE trait, of course. ^^
