Guild Traders

Does anyone have a full explanation on how they work? Aside from: You place a silent bid, you find out if you won your bid or not Monday morning.

Like for example:

I place a bid in at location A for 150,000 gold and then I put in a bid at location B for 60,000 gold. I win both bids, do I get to choose which trader I wanted or does the location I spent the higher amount on become my new trader, or the location I put the lower amount on become my new trader?

You can only bid at 1 loaction. If you don't win you outta luck til the next week.

Are you certain? I've seen a guild with traders right next to each other.

Are you sure they were the same guild? Like for instance I have run across Ascension and Ascension-

No problem at glance it is easy to mistake, I had to do a double take first time I saw it.
