Okay - 1:58 GMT - wth is going on in Craglorn?

So, I have been farming (well would have been) for 48 minutes. I know because I put my hour food on and it has 12 min left.
42 void bloom, 40 wood, 69 ore.

That is insanely low for this amount of time. (i've been farming forever, know how and even have the faster farming passives etc - it is not me being slow or missing people)

Literally 95% of Voideverything and Nightwood nodes are empty everywhere and I haven't seen another soul anywhere.

Usually you see between 3-5 people minimum farming, and there are always available nodes. Obviously not all of them - but a lot.

Does ZOS have a thing in place where nodes spawn more slowly if less people are around?

Thanks in advance for any light anyone can shed.

Not that I've noticed. I'm there now and done 2 laps and they have all respawned. My guess is you are following behind someone who's not visible by a few seconds. Respawns rates are about 15mins imo.

I've never had respawns take that long, usually more like 5-7 minutes. (PC EU) and no matter which way I went I never saw a person.

I promise I was not just derping and missing people.

I didn't see or hear any of the bolts (and I usually see/hear them from miles away) and a cloaked NB is still visible.

Anyway I was talking wee hours of the morning 2-3ish am....are you guys ever around then?

Also does not explain how when I see 3+ people farming, like physically SEE THEM running all over like crazy ants (same as I am doing!) I usually have more harvestable nodes than last night/this am.

You really think nothing weird is afoot here?

I do believe the rate at which nodes (and mobs, possibly) respawn is tied to the number of players active in the zone. It makes sense - otherwise the rate at which people collect resources would be too low in a crowded zone.

Thing with craglorn is, it was always full of people because it was a social hub - lots of players just standing around in the town, not gathering, but the game generated resources for them regardless, making the harvest for those who actually did gather exceptionally bountiful.

You possibly got used to the fast resource respawn, and now that a large portion of the players moved from craglorn to wrothgar/orsinium, the adjusted-down resource respawn rate seems low to you.

No its to do with the circuit. They are linked. I've noticed now there were no woods at all. Found a few and picked them and boom wood popped up everywhere (no pun intended ) ended up with 400 bits in an hour. Not a single rosin!!! 3 temp alloys in the 1st 30 ores though and them nothing for thr next 200+! 2 nirns though. Nice bit of cash for the day.

I actually wanted some NC Got some, too.

Also, I like it there (atmosphere) better than Wrothgar.

The mats are but you'll get about 2k raw mats in 2hrs just doing loops. That's a lot of gold tempers and nirncruxs, and that is a lot of gold. Lot more profit in tempers than silk and leather. I've sold now 15 nirns over the weekend for 9k a pop. Easy money. You'll get a Kuta every now and then too. See other thread.

I have started to use Bolt in Wrothgar to harvest. I have never done that before. I never really had to. But man! It's every man for themselves over there! lol. I went ot Craglorn for the 1st time last night since the DLC dropped. It was nice. Quiet. I was running low on Nirn, and was getting sick of the lag. I was on until almost 2am and there was a lot of voidbloom & Bugloss. Not much for the wood though.

I sub I just like the warm atmosphere of craglorn over the snowy one at wrothgar and I wanted some NC and got 2 potent.

Craglorn is a wasteland now. I rarely see anyone there. When I do they are just collecting mats like I am.

I really like it there and yes, I was at first glad for the seclusion, until I saw all the nodes cleared, even my 'old faithfuls' which are always there as they're easy to miss if you run/bolt/vamp stealth by really fast.

I assure you, since craglorn came out I've competed with many a farmer, but I've never seen anything like this.

Imagine Hollow City empty of most flowers but not a soul in evidence - you still find some - but imagine finding like 1/4 the amount you usually do and no one at all about and same nodes always empty.

I'm tellin ya, it was weird.

I have noticed this also. (I am on PS4/NA) Even in lower Craglorn there seem to be less nodes than there used to be. I know they made it so Nirncrux spawn in lower now but it seems like they reduced the amount of nodes in all of Craglorn too

Just in case the same 2 noobs ever read this. YOU NEED TO HARVEST ALL THE NODES. PUT SOME ARMOUR ON AND FIGHT THE WASPS OTHERWISE THE SPAWNS WILL TAKE FOREVER YOU FOOLS. ALSO I HACE FOUND YOUR GUILDS YOU RUN ERRANDS FOR AND I AM HAVING YOU BOTH KICKED FROM THEM. DO NOT CAMP OUT MY FIGHTS AND TRY TO ROB MY MAT NODES. And in case you haven't noticed nirns spawn in lower craglorn too so seriously get out the same loop. Seriously eso world. Lyle Poland and Matt Kitty run craglorn farming all day everyday without fail, in no armour just running to the same 20-30 nodes. They are still there now and have been since 7am GMT total ass clowns.

I always fight all the things.

Also, I know lower craglorn SURVEYS drop NC, but I have not heard yet one person say they got one in a node there.
