I started fishing recently and can't figure out how to cook fish. Do you need a recipe or some special way?

To cook anything, you need a recipe. There are recipes with fish as an ingredient, beginning with one that is only fish....naturally FISHSTICKS.

Skin side down on the pan for 20 mins on medium heat, bit of salt and olive oil.

I think you can right click the fish to fillet it, then you use the fish provisioning item as an ingredient for any recipe that needs it.

Oooo.I didnt know you could right click the fish, other than to sell it or to deposit it in the bank. I've never seen an option.

You must fillet the fish to turn them into Fish usable for Provisioning. After that simply learn a Recipe that uses Fish in it and you're good to go! Provided you have the other ingredients (unless it's Fishy Sticks) of course lol

Santie would suggest that the method of cooking depends very much on the sort of fish you have. Each fishie is different.

This one would save the meatier sorts of fish like slaughterfish for using in the fishy sticks. Delicious breadcrumbs can hide much yes?

For Fishmas dinner this one would serve a nice trout or salmon, cooked gently, spiced mildly and served with a ton of ash yams coated in moon sugar.

Santie wishes you a Merry Fishmas and hopes your Fishmas dinner is a sight to behold. Also what time is this dinner please - just in case this one happens to be in the neighbourhood .....?

You must filet them first. Have you done that so it converts the Salmon, River Betty ...etc... into fish meat? That's the best part of fishing because there is a 1.5% chance that you filet some Perfect Roe out of the fish, which sells for about $9-10k each on Xbox NA guild stores.

Once you have your fish meat, you can use it at any cooking fire by using a recipe that requires fish.
