What's the deal with these selling for over 10k a pop lately? I just farmed 21 in under an hour in sewers, 7 trove scamps dropped them. Hardly hard to come by are they? Am I missing something or am I about to make some serious coin with this hoard?

those without the DLCs have no other way to get them hence the reason people can charge so much

    Further reasons could be :

    - Some (many) people don't like to farm.
    - When you want to try a new enchant or need to craft a glyph (even more so if you have it done by a crafter who's waiting for the mats), it's easier and quicker to go to the guild store and buy instead of logging into Cyrodiil, travel to IC, get your TV stones out of the bank, get to the NPC, buy your rune, and all the way back. Even with somewhat shorter loading screens, it's a real pita.
    - I always have some of those in my bank for such cases but many people struggle with inventory space and don't want to "waste" a space for this.

The price of Repora does not only reflect the relative rarity of the item, but also the inconvenience to obtain it. It used to be the same with Kura, they've always been quite expensive even though they were easy to farm.

7 Scamps in an hour? I've only ever seen like 4 and I used to live in the sewers.

just like people selling that gold recipe for 50k! No DLC=no other options. Just *** trying to make a buck by overcharging for something that is basically handed to you

There is NO SUCH THING as overpricing.
If people find customers who agree on the price then the price is fine.
The recipe is not handed to you, it's a quest reward, you have to work for it. Admittedly, it's not difficult, BUT the counterpart is that you can get it only ONCE per character. For each recipe you sell, you "sacrifice" one of your characters who will not have it. That makes for rarity and rarity makes high prices, legitimately.
If more people would sell those recipes, the price would automatically and mechanically plummet.

+1 It is a free market, don't like the price you are free to not pay. If enough do that then the price drops as sellers realize they will not get said price for their item.

I dislike the sewers, and haven't been there since 2 weeks after IC dropped. I would much rather pay people like you than to down there and farm for myself. Of course, if your post drives more people down there to farm them, prices will likely drop. I'd be pretty happy with that.

No...it's the way free market works. If an individual is willing to pay a certain price, it is that much value to a person (however higher or lower price it may be to the rest of market). Basic economics.

And then there is Hajiko or Haiko or something like that, I only got it once from a scamp, it sold for 40k gold within 3 hours of me putting it in guild store.
