Frustration with Character/Account names on PC servers

On Console all Characters on the same account have the same name throughout(account name), on PC your name shows up different for every character.

This is beyond frustrating especially in PVP, or a general group on PC. When I'm in a group for PVP/dungeons it displays there account name in the grouping top left of screen, but shows there character name in the text box chatting. How do you figure out who is who with this discrepancy?

By default you shoud see character names everywhere apart from your friend / ignore list and the guild member list (but there you can see the current played character by hovering over the name.
Is it possible that you have an add on which displays account instead of character names?

It sounds like you have the gamepad UI enabled, which imports some of the console logic. If this isn't the case, check on your addons and/or submit a bug report. You should be seeing character names everywhere except guild roster and friends list.

@Reverb You're right I do have the gamepad UI enabled! So I guess I will have deal with the console version over-lapping with the PC version for now if I want to use the gamepad UI.
