New magicka weapon skill line?

So I've been playing for a while now, and I've always wondered why 2h always gives you far more dps than a staff, especially lore wise. In Skyrim for example, you could wield a spell in one hand and a weapon in the other, and even in the beginning cinematic there's that elf that wields a spell in main hand and a sword in offhand. I was just wondering why that couldn't be possible in ESO.

The lore is there, and the animation could just be a general energy emanating from the main hand, and it could give a boost to spell damage that's finally in sync with 2h so magicka users don't look weird using a stamina based weapon to boost their magicka based damage. The passives could boost magicka damage and defenses, the light attacks could be the melee sword, and the heavy could be a ranged pure magicka attack, instead of an elemental based attack.

I'm just throwing together a few ideas to show you that it could be a great addition to the game if it is well thought through. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Any thoughts to contribute to this, or reasons why this could never be a reality? I know quite a few people ask about new classes and new skill lines, so this may get more people back into the game.

    Really? No one's going to reply? ;-;

I know this is probably never going to happen, I'm just hoping for a friendly conversation.

It's a cool idea. My personal opinion though is I'd like to see some semblance of balance/bug fixes to the existing problems before they introduce more potential issues.

    No.

Lore is already broken to allow more Skyrim issues in an instance that takes place more than 1000 years before.

Here is a list of classes of the 2 games before to Skyrim check the skill and the attributes they benefit form. You will find that Skyrim is even less lore friendly than this game

    uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Classes

Just check the battlemage, crusader and Spellsword classes

Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique
