Retreating Maneuvers + Dark Cloak Bug

Here is my story:

I get chased by players, pop rapids then dark cloak, no attacks, and rapids went off.

It happened more than 10 times already.

End of the story.

Fix please ?

Use double take the morph of blur. It as the same speed as rapid.

Edit: it can be used in stealth and also when using cloak but the duration is a little less than rapid.

when i cast rapid manuver and im in stealth i should remain in stealth just like the Vigor skill does.

i would love to do that, but i need rapid manuver, or a high speed buff to last alot longer then 3 seconds or 8 seconds, that is really stupid for travel.
for traveling i need a skill like that to last atleast 5 minutes.

I have the same.

I use charging maneuvers before I use dark cloak so I am also immune to CC's so I can cloak and run over caltrops (in case someone actually uses cloak counters).

Double take you can use, but as a stamina build I don't have that many magicka. Also it does not give cc immunity.

When I am magblade I do use double take instead. But currently I just want to fool around with a bow only build which is fun.

Aw, you're getting pulled out of stealth while running across the map at 130 km/ph? My condolences

Everything cast in stealth should pull you out of stealth... specially heals like vigors.
If not then don't pop me out of stealth if i cast healing ward or rapid regen.

I would argue that being able to heal while stealthed is the bug not another skill pulling you out. All magica heals decloak a person. Stamina heals should work the same. It´s one of the main issues with cloak atm.

You know that my Original post talked about casting Rapids BEFORE Dark Cloak ?

When I do that I loose the speed buff 50% of the time.

I'm a stamina build, my Magicka is essential for Dark Cloak and only Dark Cloak. I need Rapid Maneuver to be efficient and I can't seem to use it properly because of a bug.

Same thing happens to me.
Cast Retreating maneuvers morph of rapid maneuvers.
Start running.
Cast Shadowy Disguise morph of cloak.
Retreating maneuvers buff disappears. Have to cast it again.
This is without being in combat.

I know attacks and certain buffs will break rapid maneuvers, but dark cloak and morphs shouldn't.

Fix please.

This is not an issue for me on the PC. I use Rapid Maneuver and Dark Cloak to move around quite a lot.

The speed buff from Concealed Weapon however, that sometimes seems to act weird.

Concealed weapon buff doesn't always apply. Sometimes I need to leave and re enter stealth.

Sometimes you have to re-crouch, sometimes you have to cast Shadow Cloak. It's a bit shady.

There are potions that give speed buff as well

This is a bug that is not consistant but only occurs while cloaking nearby enemy players and especially npcs. Does not alwas happen, but when it does you know. Something about being too close to a hostile makes cloak count as an attack.

Edit: Bug hass been around as long as I remember, at least from early 1.6 when I would use manuevers alot

I too can confirm this bug. If you cloak with retreating maneuvers active it cancels the retreating maneuvers. This only happens if you are in combat. This terrible bug needs to be fixed, please.

i use this combo nearly all the time the big factor ive found that makes rapid stop working is because you have NPC aggro which in its self shouldnt remove it but it does even if you dont attack the NPC ALSO NPC's can snare you while rapid is active which again shouldnt be a thing

So you can Double Take, Rapids, OR dodge roll to run fast. Maybe shuffle to help you get away.

Yeah. If Vigor doesn't take you out of stealth then i want my money back has as templar, THE HEALING CLASS, I can't heal and remain in stealth.

Seriously. Is there a reason to be anything but a magicka sorc or Stamina NB in this game? No one else has an identity in PVP. You're just a lesser version of these to classes.

This only happens when you have NPC aggro. This is due to the fact that cloak applies a psuedo-stun to NPCs so they don't immediately deaggro and regenerate HP. This psuedo-stun counts as an attack, and removes rapids.

Why don't you just equip it when you're riding on your mount then unequip before going into battle for double take.

As I don't know the answer for the person you are quoting from, mine would be that I need every bit of magicka I have for Dark Cloak. I am not a vampire so my sneak speed is low. I usually pop Rapids so when I sneak I have a good 30s of increased speed and I can get closer to my target I am about to assassinate.

This isn't a bug but the game recognizes Cloak as a "stun" to npc/players (base from addon) whereas,
stun = attack, ESOTU's recognition. so it cancels the Rapid Maneuver
