Beginner Class: Dragon Knight or Templar?

I'm torn between these two classes and despite trying to understand the game more I can't really spot the differences.

Templar can do it all end game, knights don't seem to be good at healing. Beyond that I've got nothing.

Going off of look I prefer fire over light, I am a Nord after all.

All I'm good at right now is hitting things with a sword until they die. I'm just trying to get a class build that is simple and can be successful in PvE and possibly PvP.

What are the Knight and Templar differences and how can I build them? Which would you rrecommend for a beginner?

What is your lvl?

If you have just started then decide weather you want to be a tank or DPS.
Nord's are good as tanks.

I recommend Bosmer/Imperial/Redguard for Templar and Dragonknight.

So, I would recommend Templar for a beginner(You don't need to use that 2h weapon skill Wrecking blow, which becomes Boring and tedious)

You can choose to be any among the 3 roles as a templar( Tank,healer and DPS).

For your first I recommend a Templar, you can tank/heal/dps on those.

you can do them on other classes as well, but no other class heals like a templar.

For a first character, use a Templar. Your main attack can also heal you.

Of course you will be left trying to figure out how to keep the other classes alive as you try those next......

Templar. DKs are pretty much worthless and not desired for much of anything.. so says my VR16 DK.

I chose Nord based on what I like, but I do value durability.

I'm leaning towards DPS, mostly because I'm not confident in my ability to tank, and DPS has traditionally been easier.

The Templar seems to be ahead when it comes to an answer.
